We’ve left the division in protestVAR is the reason why i gave up my season ticket. You have to be a mug to pay for that shit.
Very good point. The delayed offsides can fuck off aswell. They allow play to carry on after a clear offside for 30-40 seconds sometimes 4 or 5 times per game and never add the time back on.
Many say the PL is corrupt, it's not, it's the quality of refereeing in the country is at its lowest point ever.F**k off now

The same shit refs are sat in the VAR room not wanting to highlight how bad their colleagues are! Until they address the refereeing standards they can't fix VAR.
Referees are like The Masons
Clearly not. It's a PL ref on VAR soFor all VAR decisions other than absolutes such as ball over line, the referee should be the final arbiter IMO
Any ref would have looked at the Brewster yellow and seen it for the red card for the Wolves player that it surely was
Clearly not. It's a PL ref on VAR so![]()

Surely that provides even less chance of overturning something though? Takes a big man to hold his hands up to a wrong decision he made 2minutes earlier.
It's not that clear cut though is it? On the possible red last night, why didn't VAR request the referee take a look at the monitor? VAR clearly thought it was a fair challenge, in effect refereeing the game. Had the referee been summoned to the monitor there's every chance he might (IMO) have overturned his original decision. It's a clusterfuck that's not making the game any more enjoyable.Stockley Park may use referees but on match day, they are not "the Ref"
Easy enough to understand
The match ref simply holds up play and checks the VAR before he makes the decision.

I think you both make valid points. I also was thinking ‘why didn’t the ref just use the pitch side monitor for a second look to confirm his own decision??’It's not that clear cut though is it? I've been against VAR from the start as much as the next sane man, but here's something from yesterday doing the rounds in the Peterborough v Lincoln game.
Peterborough needed 1 point from the game to go up but if Lincoln won they would take promotion between themselves into the final week. Then this happened in the final minute of injury time with the score 2-3 (it's 1:40 on the video).
Is this the worst penalty award of all time, especially considering the importance of the circumstances? Naturally Peter Walton would said the ref got it right.
But surely the sort of thing VAR as actually meant for.
