Jordan talking sense once again this morning. Not about us however.

To think I used to think he was just a jumped up posh twat swanning around with people like Philip Green.

So balanced, not frightened to stand up to the mob, a real voice of reason.

Can't believe I'm saying it but says it all when he's the only reason I listen to Talksport in the morning.

Jordan is genuinely the best sports broadcaster on AIR/TV , says it like it is with a balanced opinion on both sides mans a realist the people who usually say he's talking crap are usually ones who don't like hearing the truth

Completely agree.

His comments about the Kamara case this morning were spot on and fair but most wouldn't dare go down the reasonable route due to fear of a backlash even though everything he said wasn't controversial and completely reasonable.

Exactly most broadcasters are scared that if they one word out of the perceived narratvive they will get taken off air its farcical


Jim white is a W anchor though I don't know how anyone can bare listening to him for more than 2 minutes , highlight of his career was when someone waved a dildo on deadline day

I preferred Jordan when he was on with Danny Kelly on a Sunday, because I can actually listen to Kelly. Think they still do a podcast together, but Jim White just gets on my tits.

There were very strong rumours that he did in fact want to quit at the end of that season.

Wilder actually said in an interview after promotion that the season before he thought he'd had his last game at the club. It was never expanded upon as to why.

Best as I can tell this is the same as Jordan's last comments. He takes the owner's side more than Wilder's but it's not like he has inside information as to who's actually in the right.

I think it's funny though that people think he's unbiased or talking sense when Biggs says the Prince doesn't communicate with local press who know the club the most and Jordan's response is essentially "Maybe you're a hack". That hardly strikes me as unbiased, or even a reasonable way to talk to a guest on your show.

He's right that Wilder was taking jabs at the situation behind the scenes, and I was glad that the Prince came out and gave the candid interview he did to redress the balance of rumours and sniping against the board. The issue is that we still only have people's word as to the truth of any of it. It just seems easy to sell either side of things and appear "reasonable" in the absence of any confirmatory evidence. It's not an outlandish opinion that Jordan's putting forward but it's still just another speculative take as to which side he thinks is being more truthful.

As for the NDA stuff, they're quite standard practice. That's why it's so rare to hear a manager leave a post and start talking (maybe they're all just too professional to ever speak ill of their last club but I doubt it). I remember Megson doing a Football Heaven special not long after leaving Hillsborough where he took calls and saying to whichever Seth was hosting "I can't answer that, and you know why I can't answer that, and you know I can't say why I can't answer that" i.e. NDA in place.

It'd be surprising if there weren't one. And if there is one then I wouldn't assume that meant anything sinister or either party had something to hide or some bombshell to set loose.

The more we read between the lines of certain incidents like this it becomes clear that an ending like this was inevitable if things went south on the pitch.

I think the Prince had a clear vision for us in the Premier League and Wilder had a different one, which is fine and while it was going well the Prince seemed happy to let Wilder do it his way. At some point those visions are probably going to have to align when it’s not going so well and it appears that they haven’t.

How do we know there is an NDA in place?

An NDA might be overstating matters. But I’ve been made redundant a couple of times, and part of the pay off agreement stated I wouldn’t say anything negative on social media regarding my ex-employer. It’s standard stuff.

I pretty much agree. For me it all comes down to the details that we'll never know. To some extent an ambitious manager, and one who wants to drive the club forward, needs to be able to walk away. Let's say the board knew he'd never leave, well then they could do whatever they wanted. He'd have no strength in any negotiating over budget, over signings, or anything else. You need a manager strong enough to say "Here's what we need to push forward, anything less and I'll take my chances elsewhere" sometimes. I honestly don't want a manager without that backbone. But the parallel to that is that the board can't cave to every demand a manager makes. They have to put their foot down sometimes and say "This is the job, this is what you have to work with".

When those situations arise, sometimes one side will back down, sometimes both sides will compromise a little, and sometimes the relationship falls apart. Currently it's sounding like the first two have happened before and we've finally hit on the third one. I'm open to be swung either way, I just don't think we have the insider knowledge to take a strong position.
