I remember Jusoda as a youg’un.Yes but some what after my formative years, in fact about thirty but no doubt bought it for the kids.View attachment 109233
I’m all for foreign ownership and investment. But move from BDTBL and I’d be done.
A 60,000 stadium at Orgreave sounds truly horrific.
Unless I read it wrong, it was the suggestion that I was replying to.I agree
As a user of public transport to get from my home in North Leeds to Orgreave, your talking about a 2 1/2 hour trip and leaving my favourite pre-match watering hole at about 2 pm instead of 2.40 - no thanks
I can get to London in under 3 hours
Why do you say Orgreave?
Has it been mooted by someone at the club?
Bit narrowminded to boycott every single Saudi because of their governements human rights record. Suggesting that we should not have a Saudi owner is no less racist than suggesting we should not have an Afghani owner because "they're all terrorists".
Just out of curiosity which countries do you not view as morally bankrupt? No country is squeaky clean and focusing on nationality rather than the individual is bizarre

Of course all the Mancs spit the dummy out and said they would never go again, only now they all go again because they have one of the world's best teams after watching utter dogshite in the old 2nd division at Maine Road.
It's like us. After watching us lose 1-0 at home against someone like Shrewsbury in the piss pouring rain of course we would rail against a break with tradition and under no circumstances do we want any changes, but a 60,000 stadium at Orgreave with some of the world's best footballers poncing about and pinging in goals in the old red and white would soon bring us round.
It's a different game now. We might hate some parts of it but the decision is still ours. Run with it, or go watch the ice hockey
Ok, cheers ChrisHey. Never post. But felt the need. This is beyond football. I always thought Macabe didn’t necessary make the right footballing decisions but I always felt he cared about the blades and had the community at heart.
CW leaving to me is about the the city and community more than football. We are Sheffield United. We have never been premier league. But we have alway been proud and routed in our community I genuinely think as fans we try and do things the right way.
The current owner doesn’t deserve to own us. He isn’t one of us. He is a Saudi. He is skint and doesn’t give a fuck. And I personally don’t like my club being owned by someone from a morally bankrupt country like Saudi Arabia. It doesn’t reasonate with the values I have I have and Sheffield has, regardless of whether you are a Blade or a pig.
Wilder really was one of own. And that matter. The Prince isn’t and we need to fight back and get him out of our club
Do you remember the little social club we had Tudor Rooms IMS, and sure they served Webster's Green label.ARRRRR.......Magnet, by John Smith, much enbibed in the John Harris days.View attachment 109237
View attachment 109243I'm genuinely surprised with the amount of thick racists we have as fans. They think they disguise it but it's just fucking blatant. It's happening on most threads about Wilder and its shaming on the club to see.

Orgreave is in Rotherham. Absolutely no way we would move there. Can’t see us moving anywhere thankfully. Is the reference to Orgreave purely illustrative or have you heard something?
There's certainly plenty of room there

Can we return to vintage soft drinks and Corgi Limited Edition Commercial Vehicles?
It's frothy, man.

No mate don't get me started on why I know a bit about infrastructure projects and the suppression thereof in that area BUT of course if you are PA and you look at the city connections and M1 proximity it's just ideal for the location of a major new stadium facility just not, hopefully, ours.Is the reference to Orgreave purely illustrative or have you heard something?

Bushy, Root Beer is "like" D&B but nowhere near as good. It's a bit more like sarsaparilla, same concept, just different herb extractsI used to be a secret lemonade drinker.
As a kid I remember watching someone like Petrochelli always drinking ‘root beer’ and wondering why we didn’t have it here. Apparently it’s Dandelion and Burdoch, which my grandad would always have a bottle of, from the “pop man”.

We used to get the Pop Man. When in Pitsmoor in the 60s it was Ben Shaws, and when out at Halfway/Mosborough/Killamarsh it was Alpine. "American Cream Soda" anyone?
What about the Beer Man? Davenports used to deliver to us. The jingle from the original Davenports "Beer At Home" ads is on you tube. Couldn't believe it when I found it. Must be 45 years since I heard it
hahahaha - "It's frothy man" - that was Cresta wasn't it? With the Polar Bear?
Correct
I vaguely remember American Cream Soda. I didn’t dislike it but it was a bit weird. Fuck knows what it was made out of, probably chemicals that are now banned. Same with D&B I suppose, it certainly wasn’t made from dandelions and burdoch.Bushy, Root Beer is "like" D&B but nowhere near as good. yeah Fletchers Bakeries, the Chip Man ............ Hill Top Dairies had the mad woman who would do you a 2D "special" which was an ice lolly stuck in the top of a cornet, and then sneeze on it every fucking time! Like she was allergic to ice cream or other people's enjoyment!I vaguely remember American Cream Soda. I didn’t dislike it but it was a bit weird. It’s odd how we’ve gone back to deliveries, there used to be all sorts when I was a kid; fruit man, fish man, bread man ...
My memory of Jusoda was when they brought it out in a vaguely triangular pack and you froze it and ate it like a lolly. We called it a JUBBLY (from jubilee I suppose) and it died a death only to be resurrected as the "Jubbly" some years laterYes but some what after my formative years, in fact about thirty but no doubt bought it for the kids.View attachment 109233
Where is the queue of South Yorkshire based millionaires who want to take over. Get real the past has gone and the future may not be what you want.
Cracking comment AlcoAdmirable sentiment.
Unfortunately, one that’s seen us consistently punch below our weight for the last half a century.
This. I do wish people would disabuse themselves of any ideas that owners put their own money in. They leverage whatever financial vehicles they have used to build their wealth in the first place. If it all goes tits up and we get flushed down the drain, it will cost them not a penny piece and they will move on in gold plated luxury to their next project with all their trappings intactThe thing is, most of the billionaires don’t put their own money in, or at risk. The champions league final a few years ago between Man U and Chelsea had a billion pounds of debt on the pitch.
I’m with you.
