I’m all for foreign ownership and investment. But move from BDTBL and I’d be done.

A 60,000 stadium at Orgreave sounds truly horrific.

Always thought that us Blades stuck together when times got tough. Our last manager has done one, and wanted paying to do it! If your waiting for one of our own to buy us you will be a long time waiting. What exactly has the Prince done wrong so far ? I think he is far from skint and despite our last manager having the worst start to a season ever offered to stick with him?

Errr, be careful what you wish for. The Glaziers bought Man U with loans secured against the club assets. It was a profitable business with zero debt when they moved in but now owes over £500 million. They have issued a £70million share sale recently, none of which will go to the club. Interest payments are £25million pa and cumulatively are £1bn. Meanwhile, the management take out £millions in fees. Now don’t get me wrong, it is a successful club and all of that debt is probably serviceable but would I want that for our club? No thanks, I still feel connected and, in a weird way, the ups and downs are what makes me love Sheffield United. We don’t have a sense of entitlement to cups and titles every year, every season brings pleasure and pain. That’s what supporting a club should be for me so no, I don’t want a billionaire thanks. As long as PA respects the club, the history and the fans, I’ll take that. Wilderness? hardly, the Championship is a bloody good league, proper tackles, no screaming every time contact is made, no VAR and much better pundits. If we get the occasional promotion to the PL fair enough but at least we’re a real club with real fans and true sense of identity.

The thing is, most of the billionaires don’t put their own money in, or at risk. The champions league final a few years ago between Man U and Chelsea had a billion pounds of debt on the pitch.

All that and we still won last time we played them, it’s as if we can sometimes punch above our weight

Leaving Bramall Lane permanently disconnects Sheffield United from it's history, that is my limit too I think.

Whoever owns us, whoever's in charge, and whoever's on the pitch, it's the same bit of grass in Sheffield city centre, the stands change a bit but I'm sat in roughly the same place as people have sat for 130 odd years to watch Sheffield United, and that's important I reckon.

I have had some Turkish Delight though, very moreish.

Probably the land boarded by Bramall Lane, John St, Shoreham St and Cherry St will be sold to the Chinese, who could possibly erect the tallest building in Europe, or even the world, making it possible to see the Superdome from it's higher floors.
Looking in the opposite direction, one may discern the Don river wending its way from source whilst passing many industrial installations and a pile of rust 🤭next to a public park.

I have to admit I’ve never drunk it either.
Have always liked lucozade.
I remember, from way back when, lucozade lorries with racks of orange wood set at an angle.
Personally I love Turkish Delight (obviously the proper stuff) but my fave is nougat (again the properly stuff).
I suppose the pile of rust could be made into a memorial to a the foolishness of man and the stupidity of nothing in particular.

I suppose the question is
1: Would you want a local owner who is a true Blade where we constantly play in the Championship with the odd season in league 1.
We‘re crap but can feel proud that we’re have our identity, dignity and pride OR

2: Would you want an Abramovich style owner who uses us as a play thing showing massive ambition where we challenge for Europe every season.
We attract loads of glory hunter fans and have to expand the stadium to 50K....but it’s not our club anymore...
We‘ve sold our souls to the devil....as even the media like us and instead of being underdogs we attract new glory hunter fans.

I wonder how many true Man City fans have stopped going and are saddened that they’ve lost their club to outsiders with no loyalty to Manchester.

Bit narrowminded to boycott every single Saudi because of their governements human rights record. Suggesting that we should not have a Saudi owner is no less racist than suggesting we should not have an Afghani owner because "they're all terrorists".

Just out of curiosity which countries do you not view as morally bankrupt? No country is squeaky clean and focusing on nationality rather than the individual is bizarre

Yeah its worth that with some caveats -

The mirrors break very easily, sometimes they aren't attached and are still in the packaging.

It's limited edition IIRC, so should have a certificate with it.

The figures can often be missing

Thats about it really, a nice thing
