I don't think it's as clear cut as that. He had numerous falling outs with Geoff Horsfield who was his assistant which culminated in Gannon getting off the team coach at a motorway services after another row.

As Axel alluded to, this has nothing to do with his on-field record and everything to do with his off-field activity. It's not the first time J Gannon has been involved in disputes and fall-outs as a manager, in fact he's pretty notorious for it.

I find it unbelievable that teams sack managers after a poor run of 6 or so games. Every team has that. Would warnock have lasted as long as he did with us if that was the case? That said, Ronnie must have felt pretty humble after the chessie game friday night - it was one of the finest displays i have seen for a long time (mind you, i do go to the lane!), and all that inspired by an ex-pig. Makes you wonder how they will do next season - maybe worth a cheeky fiver for back to back promotions?

Latest news: Rob Scott and Paul Hurst (joint managers) resigned from Boston United this morning and are expected to be appointed at Grimsby Town.

They've done brilliantly at Boston. Definitely a pair to watch for the future.
