i know its difficult to pinpoint a specific reason as to why our relegation is looking ominous this season. However, on the 30 October 2010, we lost 1-0 at home to coventry city. My theory is that we would have stayed up if we had won this game. Coventry dont look like they will win another game this season, so therefore, a win in this game would have put us a point behind them with a few games left. From memory, that was a dire performance where we simply didnt turn up, and maybe winning that game would have changed the whole path of the season.

Thoughts?

I went to that game and it was shocker.

Although I think you could go back to earlier games than that one.

I think we need to look at closer permonances than that.
The loss and Palace, also Scunthorpe was massive.

Reading at home was the first time I watched us and saw absolutely nothing to provide hope. That was the hit-home moment, as many of our previous efforts weren't far short of being average despite losing.

The first 37 games this season apart from the odd one or two seemed to have pointed our noses towards the third tier.
