The biggest come back since Lazarus?
As I speak we are beating Leeds 2 nil. I thought we'd struggle but they haven't caused is a problem all day.
We still have a mountain to climb, but there is a chink of light. :)
Well done Blades COYRAWW. :)

Things are looking better today the players have performed big time ,as my mate is at the game he text me to tell me.

Apart from one header in the first half LE£d$ weren't allowed to play. We fully deserved that. Hardly any silly mistakes that we've been commiting all season. If we keep playing like that then there is no reason why couldn't stay up. The best we've played for yonks. Question is obviously can we do it again and again?

If we are going to pull off a miracle, that is the way we need to play every single remaining home game.

A surprising away win somewhere would also be nice ...

It was like watching a completely different team today, much better. Leeds caused us no trouble at all. Had it not been for their keep then we could have had 4 or 5.

Great game today, Were playing better Im hopeful of a point at QPR followed up by another home win against boro

I thought Evans ran his socks off today, he was a giant. After his performance today, and in recent weeks, I can fully understand why we decided to Chuck Billy to Doncaster Rovers.

Did you see what I did there SV? Did ya, did ya..? ;)

Superb today. We looked more like promotion contenders than relegation. 10 attempts on target to their 1. Our defence & keeper actually looked rock solid (no, seriously, they did!). Probably too late to save us but still a fantastic day.

I think we played more as a team than any match i've seen for a while. No one had a poor game.

Having said that I thought the forwards played great today and must say Lowton impressed although he wasn't up against any giants.

Nice to enjoy a game! :)

I'd also like to highlight the performance of Sam Vokes. That was a perfect target man's performance. Held the ball up, strong, won headers and made meaningful flick ons, didn't give away endless free kicks and didn't get sent off. Involved in build up to both goals as well I believe. If we get players around this lad, we could pull off the impossible. The wider players (Boggy and Ched today) plus the midfield runner (Quinn today) have to get round him and we will create chances - as we did today.

Well played Sam, no way into the side for Henderson now.

Very, very good.:D

Did anyone notice Schmeichel waving for Evans not to get booked? Fair play to him for that. He was the stand-out player for them today.

We had ten attempts on target to their one. Yes, just the one. I thought we were going to get tonked today, and I'm rather glad instead to have that all-too-rare happy feeling after a match.

Did we Chuck Billy over the wall? (I hope I'm not barking up the wrong tree here ;)

Yeh I noticed that. A well deserved round of applause from the Kop for that, very good of him.

The footballing Gods are playing with us again. As I said a few weeks ago, we were bound to get the odd decent win to give us all hope then.............

But, we can always enjoy today :)

More importantly, are all our seats on the away end still in tact ?? :-)

You'll be pleased to know that they were billed for every single seat they ripped out that evening.

Whether they paid or not, I don't know.

Excellent news, but I imagine they withdrew their offer off a player on loan in the bargain :-) ....or was that another club......

Excellent performance from all. We kept going for 90 minutes of commitment and effort. More importantly, we played a bit of football as well. Quinny takes a great deal of credit. He was involved in everything. Comfortable in possession, used the ball intelligently and got beyond the strikers with regularity. It was fitting that he was crucially involved in both goals including a clever pass for the second.

Well played lad. A really good midfield display. My man of the match.

I agree with Wombwell about Vokes. He looks an effective centre-forward. I hope we can keep him a bit longer.

Riise showed real quality in his cameo appearance. Lowry was a mountain at the back and, credit where it's due, Noz had a blinder today.

The ones I've missed out all played their part in a great day.

There is yet hope! Well done Blades on and off the pitch.

Not since the Warnock days have I been so proud of the Blades.
From the pre-match 'huddle' (always liked the huddle, it's the players' way of saying "Yeah, we've listened to the managers' bollocks, we've crossed that oft-quoted 'white line' and now it's down to us) to the lusty GCB rendition we ran them absolutely ragged. Totally unfair to single any player out, but I thought Nozzer was all over Gradel like the proverbial cheap suit. Heroes all!

And won't we miss the whipping boys such as Quinny, Monty and Evans next season?

Once Leeds' manager has had time to reflect, I hope he will admit that this was their hardest game of the season.

Alas, I still think it's too little, too late. That 15-game run without a win is always going to be insurmountable, we've left ourselves no room for errors but, as long as we go down fighting (The Blades Way) we may, just may, forgive United for managing to get relegated from this piss-poor division.

Final downer? 23k crowd? Come on! 26k min.

Just shy of 24K, so over 20,000 Blades there. Never going to be thousands of extras desperate to pay the best part of £30. Not bad at all considering how awful we've been. Let's face it, the days of Leeds being a big draw are long gone.

After today's game and looking at the league table, how different things would look if we hadn't had nightmares against Scunthorpe, Palace and Derby. On the other hand, I didn't expect us to win any of our last 3 games, so there is still a glimmer of hope.

It all depends on what team turns up for the game. As we've shown today, we have enough quality to beat a top 6 side.

We've got three tough games against Cardiff, QPR, and Swansea, but the rest of them winnable if the players turn up with the right attitude.

The biggest problem for me really is that it will go right down to the last day, and we have to go to Swansea and get three points. With the battle for second looking like it will go down to the last day as well, it doesn't look great for us.

if they played like that most weeks they'd have never been candidates for the position

How is it too little too late? We're now only 4 points behind Palace!

Who was the bill addressed to? Papa Smurf? If so then you'll be lucky.

If it goes down to the Swansea game I think I will have heart failure...

Because, in recent games the kop has been pretty sparse (which it wasn't yesterday) and the crowd has been announced as around 20k, plus Leeds filled the bottom tier (nearly 3k and had plenty in the top tier). I reckon at least 26k.

On paper, yes. But we don't play again for over a fortnight, at QPR - a game which I can't see us getting owt out of. Our disastrous 15-game winless streak has left no room for manouvre. As we speak, it's just Palace and Coventry within sight, and they're bound to pick up points here and there. We've got to discover promotion-winning form in every game left. The win v. Forest was great, but it proved to be 'one step forward, one step back' against Watford.

But hey! It's all about opinions - let's just celebrate the fact that we played damn well yesterday. We can do it, I just feel that our chance came in February with a series of must-win games where we lost every one.

Personally, I can't see Coventry winning another game for the rest of the season.

Of course it will go down to the final game. It always does with us. We'll be safe at half time then ...
