Wilders next club then?

Don' all these clubs, Sheffield FC aside, employ Directors of Football?

If he refuses to work like that then maybe he'll drop down for the next project?

It depends what he wants. He might want a project which is much more hands on.

Donnie need a manger

By all accounts Celtic are looking to employ a DOF and keep their existing back room team in place hence why Keane is hotly tipped as he hasn't got an established back room set up to bring with him.

I really can't see CW going into a job on his own after all this time.

That ship appears to have sailed.

He left to join another bottom 5 club and I called it nearly two weeks ago. My source explained why he left and he did give me the reasons and I explained why in an earlier post. Told me which club but to say I was shocked is an

Can’t see that. If they are solid PL and Bielsa left, they are likely to upgrade not appoint someone who has just managed a car crash team to relegation.
If Leeds pay wages that support getting proven players, not just "players with potential" I think most are wise enough to see the difference in approach would make a huge difference to the overall performance.

Well I’m obviously not “wise” enough to see beyond a total inability to adapt his tactics after lockdown 1 when he had the same squad that had finished 9th but had, by then, been sussed out. Leeds wouldn’t dare take the chance of a similar meltdown. Beyond that, don’t forget the cocky bollocks he was giving the Leeds players, Bamford in particular, after we got promoted. Bet they are laughing now and would replicate the situation that Clough experienced if he walked through the changing room door. No way they’ll appoint him.

Forest.... Hughton has just about got them treading water above the drop zone but no more..and against the top 10 in the Championship theyve only 5pts and scored 4 goals in the 17 games played against them.

I wouldn't be surprised if he took sometime away from the game.

He has done no wrong for four out of the last five years, and must be feeling wounded by what has happened. It will not be easy going elsewhere, and starting again, when you may have doubts.

Chris could do a bit of media work, play some golf, have a couple of nice holidays, spend some of his severance pay. Travel around and watch some games, maybe spend sometime in Europe. Get some new ideas, systems and styles of play. Watch a few young players and make some notes!

I would wait for the right opportunity, the right place at the right time. No need to make a hasty decision.

I don't think a PL will want the risk after this season. Maybe a Championship team or Celtic.

Then comes back to us fully refreshed, when the new guy inevitably fails......I like your thinking😉

Southampton

It’ll most likely be a championship club. He’ll get them promoted whoever they are.

I'm not saying he won't but it surprises me that a fair few people seem to be sure of it.

Nigel Adkins and Paul Lambert also took the Saints and Norwich quickly from League 1 to the Prem but have tasted zero success since let alone any more promotions, it's been more the opposite!

Don't get me wrong Wilder has proven to be a very decent manager but no matter how outstanding those first 4 years were doesn't necessarily mean he will repeat a similar success.

Saying that I do wish him well wherever he ends up next.

He's replacing Tommy Brown at Fulchester United.

YHIHF.

:)

Unless you’re Pro- Prince then he’ll be joining up with Evil Gus Parker ( aka Gareth bastard Ainsworth) at Grimthorpe City.

Forum is turning in to a bloody teenager who can't give up on the partner that dumped them.

He's not managing us so.......

Couldn't give a toss.

Had great times under CW, but been shit for a year, he's gone, like a lot of other managers have gone.

I don't care where Cloughie is, or Weir, or Adkins, or Warnock. I care about our club and our manager. Chris is off to pastures new. I wish him well, but our current manager is the most important man at SUFC. Ex-managers are part of our history, but completely irrelevant to our future.

Enjoy Crystal Palace Chris

I think once the dust settles down and CW realises there is a very very small pool of clubs in the prem who would consider him eg Newcastle/Palace

He will regret leaving us and realise it was mistake absolutely no need to walk out how he has done

Hopefully he comes to his senses and gets an application sent in

I actually don't think CW and PA have fallen out that badly and I really don't think the SKY interview changes that either. I don't think the door is closed BUT Chris is a yorkshireman so let's move on

So having read the title of the thread and realising it is about our EX-manager, why the hell did you carry on reading it?

Why not start your own 'Princy wet dreams' thread and leave the clappers to muse about where CW might end up?
