Maybe they have talked to wilder or people that have spoken to wilder ???

Gary Marrow and Tony Moore also have a pop at the prince in the thread

I’m still not gonna have a pop at the prince or wilder till we hear something concrete but the prince needs to come out with a statement tomorrow to clear the air ... if he can !

Won't clear it but it'd open a window and maybe let some stench out.

As for the above, I just think it's in the same category as Wit and Phipps. We all love Wilder but we also have all seen him allude to going until he gets his way multiple times, and that's been for the clubs benefit he says, and it mostly has, but I'm not going to say that only Chris Wilder knows what's best for the club, and maybe he wanted more than we had, we just don't know. If he's annoyed at the state of Shirecliffe but it's covid related and the Prince wanted to spend it elsewhere, then they're both right probably. I don't think it'll be some big fundamental issue, just different ideas and two proud and stubborn men.

If the Prince sells everyone decent, pays off the debts and goes back to the McCabe model of "here's a pittance and you'll bloody well thank me for it" I'll be right there with the Prince out brigade, but up to now I've thought he's been a very decent owner, spent money (his money because he owns the club, clubs money if you find that hard to accept), spoke well, and done little bits here and there that make you think maybe he does give a shit, like painting the South Stand and the general tidy up of the Lane.

McCabe built one good corner when the cost to do so was low, but did nothing else really for the next 12 years until he bet the lot and lost. Just cleaning the concrete would have done, it was fucking grim, so if not the Prince, someone on the board gives a shit.

I'm feeling more deflated about the state of the fanbase than anything, and I think everyone should concentrate more now on what we do going forward rather than making their side known and making Wilder into a martyr.

The players have been shit this season, no doubts, but they're the ones that have done the business on the pitch and they'll need some serious backing if we're allowed back soon so that it trends towards a Norwich or Watford rather than a Sunderland or Huddersfield.

Fuck the rest of it, get behind the football.

The "Should have followed Norwich" thing is grinding my gears. Norwich have a director of football who makes the signings and appointed an unknown foreigner to coach them. That's the Norwich model and it's one people seem petrified The Prince will do.

Well that was my thought mate but thanks for sticking your head over the parapet first ;-)
I don't give a shit mate, sufc are yours mine and everybody else's club who supports them. There's gonna be different views from every angle/party/man and his dog! I've had the best years under Chris and also seen money spent like I never new possible for us so to take sides and critise anybody is undue. For me I really think we've shot our bolt to early chris had gone as far as he could and the players just are not upto the standards set after finishing 9th. Nobody's fault just a crest of a wave that came like a tsunami but has now subsided. I think we really need to take a step back and build like we haven't even stepped foot in the prem. We won't get promoted next season but truthfully we are a a more attractive outfit for the best players that can get us back up their.

I think the norwich model people refer to is
  • don’t sell the best players
  • keep the manager
  • go again

Tony fucking Moore probably the worst player I have ever seen in a Blades shirt
Thats cheered me up at least non of the present players are worse than him
Yeah why these fucking no marks? Oh some ex-Pig QPR fan and a proper meh ex-midfielder have an opinion that we all need to know about?

But that whole thing only works because their best players are mostly all from their director of football and his contacts. We had a guy who was excellent at scouting lower league gems but seems to have no clue of the foreign market and the higher you go, the only places you will pick up good enough players on affordable wages is abroad. Stuart Webber did it with Huddersfield before Norwich too.

The more attractive out fit is usually the more attractive coach/manager most players sign for the man not the club

That would have happened if wilder agreed to a DoF

For me, this is quickly becoming the new "they're doing bad because of no Henderson" thing.

They also spent nothing when they came up. No two football clubs are alike, but life is simple, just keep your manager regardless.

How many days of friends of chris wilder do we have to suffer? It's happened now, let's just get on with it.

Not really agreeing with them just put it up because maybe they have spoken to Wilder or they have spoke to someone else who has , Gary Hamson was a good player btw !
he was mate, and Simon's goalscoring record wasn't half bad either, just poking the bear

OP is a Pro-Wilder angle. Personally I’m on the fence still, undecided. I reason with and agree with a lot of these comments*^ but I also find myself agreeing with pommpey
