3/ the XIII brand is specific for Beerschot as it resembles the registration number of our club with the Belgian FA and is regarded as an important club symbol. I am sure they will think of a different home brand for you guys that resembles your history.

Hm. I wasn't aware of that.

I also don't trust our hierarchy to come up with something similar for us which doesn't sound terribly cheesy.

No but the Yelo deal is a bit odd. It’s a car rental in Middle East with no activity in Western Europe and still they are our main sponsor. Hard to understand the business rationale of that.
We had Al Wefaq last season and have a tie in with Yelo this season. As long as they’re real companies and money actually comes into the club I’m sure it makes sense for someone.

If we are doing our own then I hope the club will look at some of the fan made templates as a few of them looked smart.

Love that design Mattbianco, but would like to see a template showing a thin black pinstripe on the red stripes. Then use Beerschot's purple design as our away kit. Job's a gooden.

Great kits:

I get everyone is fed up of Adidas- me too. We had them for 7 seasons! I get in-house would yield more profit, but would we sell as much training wear? Doubtful.
I’d much rather us go for someone like New Balance and trust Bettis to negotiate a good deal!

Oh i'm totally against ditching Adidas mate. I'm just saying, if the in-house brand replicated the 1993 or 1997 home shirt for example, most fans would be happy.

Macron and Le Coq - i never bought any training or leisure wear. Adidas you do. It's class.

Adidas training gear is great, but after so many seasons, with only slight variations in what is offered, most people who want it have plenty of the stuff, so I'd expect year on year you'd see sales to drop. Perhaps that is why clubs always have always changed suppliers, in part to boost sales and interest? An in house brand could produce some fantastic bespoke kits IF they listen to the fans and try to capture the look of a 'proper' United shirt etc. The training gear could look a little naff however. Someone credible like Umbro of Hummel, as had been mentioned, would be the best middle ground option.

I'd be more on board with the concept if production scale and quality were up to scratch. Didn't the Pigs have to delay their shirt launch when they first went to Elev-8?

Probably because they released the design of the kit before they'd even invented the company

Prince will now focus on helping Chateauroux: https://wesportfr.com/berrichonne-de-chateauroux-abdullah-bin-mosaad-en-sauveur/

But his other clubs don’t need re-enforcements? When everything is running smoothly I can see the benefit of the bigger picture but for me that all falls away when you have clubs struggling and you don’t help them. Beerschot is heading the same direction only a bit faster. After a great start we are heading for the relegation battle and look hopeless. But no money to dig into the transfermarkt. Starting to look a lot like the Duchâtelet empire and that guy had much more money.

Just noticed the Al Hilal United kit is the same colour as Beerschot and has the same sponsor too. The kit make isn't XIII but does appear to be in a similar font/type face.

I think its a sign of things to come
