Yeah I know, but CW got the best out of him taking him from a first division journeyman to a genuine PL level player and the first name on the team sheet.

Bash will be 33 at the start of next season and if we drop the overlapping centre backs I struggle to see where Bash fits in. He wasn’t great as a centre back in a back four or as a midfielder.

I am not so sure mate. Bash is 1st and foremost, an exemplary professional, who will put in a shift regardless of who is in charge. I have no doubt they will all really miss working with Wilder and Knill though.

I have a feeling damage was done between player and manager after that Leicester away game

Chris Wilder made a lot of these players richer and playing at a higher level than they could’ve ever imagined.

The thought of them suddenly starting to perform and get results now doesn’t sit right with me.

Many clubs see a caretaker-manager/new manager bounce in their results. In fact, in recent seasons the Pigs have almost made it part of their strategy to go through a number of managers to scrabble enough points together to stay clear of relegation.

As for us, I expect us to get drummed by 3 or 4 at Leicester and think there is a very strong chance that we will lose all 10 of the remaining fixtures.

This is right. They're grown men. They know this is what happens in football. Most will massively miss Wilder - some will feel guilt - but they will crack on. Wilder could try and take a couple to wherever he goes, but they won't just blindly follow him out of the door.
