Apart from that I'd take Van Aken if Egan or JOC go, and I'm convinced Ched Evans at PNE would do a job for us with a good pre-season behind him.

Joe Rothwell from Blackburn and Alex Mowatt form Barnsley are two names we've must surely been looking at considering our Midfield woes? Urhoghide - Plays RCB for the pigs. Don't know if he's any good but seems to be the one player the grunters don't want to lose so on that basis would do it for the shits and giggles.
Rothwell - Great free signing at that level with ability to improve still.
Mowatt - Another great free signing for that level.
Powell - Decent attacking MF.
Assombalonga - Only if CW thinks he can get him back to the level of a few tears ago as his form hasn't been great recently.

Ive mentioned some of these names already but i would consider:
Mowatt - Another leader. Not quick but great passing and a mean set piece. a more mobile Norwood
Rothwell - Skilful, direct and a few goals in him
Bacuna - Quick and beats people for fun.
Mbenza - Primarily a winger but I'm sure he's played more central. Got an excellent set piece and is quick
Halilovic - had his problems but still young and you don't play for Barcelona and Milan if you're not a good player

i think we will go down the norwich route a couple of high profile players will be sold and another 3 or 4 moved on then bring another 5 or 6 in it wouldnt suprise me if chris didnt take a punt on assombalonga still only 28 especially if mousset is one of em thats moved out he has reportedly been interested in him before

If we are sticking with the managers then I think so the squad will need to be freshened up quite a bit to shift the hangover from this season.

not true for gk imo - i would take any decent 30+ y.o. whose carved their way at this level - i'm thinking Ruddy or Hennessy from epl, Camp or Begovic from championship - all players out of contract this season. Get rid of Fotheringham and get Verrips over to Beerschot for the season, Moore as third choice on a 1yr contract

I think rammers needs a bit of coaching and pushing for his spot, we need someone well-assured for when/if Rammers has a blip

Not saying any of those names on the list are who we should be after, 30+ is not necessarily a bad thing

We potentially have a young looking squad next year and some experience may come in handy. Before we can plan for the future in the EPL we need to get back there.

Few older players on a short term deal could certainly help that aim
