What did he say?

Thx!

Not good enough essentially, poor recruitment after doing well last year. Buying championship players always a gamble.

Also noted that Wilder has changed his attitude completely from last season to this. Last year was ‘we’ve earned the right to be here’ this year it’s ‘ooooh well were up against it’.

Found myself agreeing with every single point tbh.

I’m sorry say it, but he’s starting to sound very much like Neil Warnock now.

Difference is, Warnock got a much tougher ride than this from Blades as well as others. Slightly different journeys I know but I think Wilder still has more credit in the bank than Warnock ever did from some sections.

The way we set up this season in some games stinks of that 06/07 season though. That Fulham game last week was straight out of Colin’s how to set up away from home in the Premier League playbook.

Right that's it. Get Keane and Wilder locked in a room together with few crates of booze and hopefully let some home truths sink in.

Absolutely yes called it right, we have players at our club who can compete at this level but the problem is CW has his favourites, Mc Burnie and Stephens being notably two of them who absolutely are out of their depth. Proving so too is CW AK.

I generally listen to most games on radio and watch a few on Astro Supersport so haven't heard Mr Keane's analysis, but I wish I had - I'm sick of commentators over-praising us, going on about how "spirited" and "unfortunate" we are, "fine margins" bollocks. The radio commentators usually sound disappointed when opponents score against us, it's weird and fairly patronising and glosses over real errors from the management. I'd love to hear someone ono TV or Radio to say out loud "this Sheffield United side, you know what, they're fucking gash".

I wouldn't mind the safety cap being left on if we were 6 points from 4th bottom and scrapping for points.

But ffs Wilder - we're relegated. We've been relegated since Christmas and from then on you've never setup a team to go out and dare win a game of football or plan for next season in mind.

Osborn over Stevens, Didsy as #10 with Lundstram dropped and Brewster getting game time instead.

Also if you insist on playing the same system, with the same players and keep getting the same results - stop blaming the players for it at least.

My belief is that Wilder has had enough of the job as it stands but doesn’t want to walk away as he would not get the same pay off he would if he was sacked.

I think it is now a bit of a stand off as I think the Prince would like to replace him for next season but he knows that Wilder still has the large majority support of the fans so sacking him would currently be a PR disaster.

If we are still shit come November in the League below then opinions amongst the fans might change, especially if grounds are full again, people aren’t going to put up with the negative style of football so easily when they are paying for a seat on a cold wet Tuesday In October.

Whatever... Wilder will be here for the start of next season come what may, the best we can hope for is a couple of months off in the summer recharges his batteries and enthusiasm and he remembers what it was that made the previous 4 years so exhilarating .. he should know what United fans want.. full commitment from the players.. and all out attacking football.

Roy Keane is a clown. He is becoming a parody of himself. His little rant to Redknapp earlier was truly embarrassing and highlighted his lack of knowledge.
Roy Keane talks bollocks he has not got substance he’s a cliche ridden parody. They have him sat there like a Jeremy Kyle guest. He is sat in a tv studio because he isn’t good enough and doesn’t have the right attitude to manage a football club.
What is it that you both disagreed with Roy Keane about?

Hi Stegosaurus here,

Expect we'll see Wilder working as an ESPN analysist in a couple of years then ...

The bloke's clearly lost his bottle. He's a defeated man. Like he's come back home, saw his wife shagging Lennox Lewis and realized he just has to accept the fact.

True we can't say that about Wednesdays manager . Mainly as you can't afford one

In hindsight perhaps Wilder should have left at Xmas. Actually make that last August just before he spent any money.
He is fabulous at finding rough diamonds but recruiting with money has been his Achilles heel. Prince should have kept him to getting 1m pound players or frees . Another Basham or JOC would have served us better
Whenever we spend money it goes tits up. Warnock wasted what he spent in 2006 . Now Wilders wasted our biggest ever outlay.

I agree about CW and AK.
The majority of players, in fact all except possibly Bogle, who have come in over the last 4 windows can’t compete at this level, simply aren’t good enough or are incapable of delivering.

I am aware of how good CW and AK have been for us since they arrived. (Obviously, not this season OBVIOUSLY!!!!)
Maybe last season was the “blip” and this season is the reality and how good we really are?
Whatever the reasons, the rights and wrongs, etc. I fail to understand why CW and AK have “ banked” so much credit that they are entitled to continue serving up this dross week in week out and have such an entitlement to remain in their jobs.
I said it weeks ago, and Keane said it last night. CW was happy to accept all the plaudits last year but this season he is Teflon man.

Roy Keane can sit there without any idea of the constraints we work within and say recruitment is poor. If we sign the likes of Watkins, Cash, Eze players we allegedly were in for are we in this position? You can only play with the cock you got.
