What a load of bollocks. Not the creativity part, the worse than Adkins part. The penultimate game of the season - defeat at Coventry - a game when we could still have had a chance of making the playoffs, so unlike tonight actually had something to play for. I went to that Cov game, it was equally dismal as tonight but v a mid-table 3rd tier side. That's hugely different to playing a Premier League side full of internationals that may well be in the PL next season.

The team in the Fourth Division must be 65 years old by now. But the way we performed tonight I’d put my money on Colin Morris, Keith and Trusson to give them a game. I was pissed off and pissed up last night.

Now I'm just pissed off after two poor results and dreadful performances in games we needed to get something from. The tame approach to games and lack of front door stuff is appalling, and I think even Utd teams of the past would have created something. I suspect this has been borne out of the injury situation, but we have been like this most of the season before most of the injuries. Southampton away anyone? We have been lame and insipid for most of the season, and that's what I'm getting at.

In a game we HAD to win, we set up instead simply not to lose and bottled it from minute one with the negative hoof ball tactics. The first half was truly abysmal.
No coincidence that once McGoldrick and Bogle came on we looked more threatening but yet again, we could have been out there all night and not looked like scoring.

Relative to the level of opposition, this is by far the worst team I've seen and there can't be many who have plummetted as fast as this lot have.

It is not relevant which division we are in, the Premier or League 1, the football that is presently being served up is absolutely awful.
There seems to be no intention, certainly in the team sélection, to believe we can win.
The last two games against the Spammers and Fulham we were never in it. Those were games we should have set out our stall to win. We did nothing of the sort.

It wasn't for a whole season though was it? Bassett turned it round with interest, and the others got sent on their way. Atkins had a full season.

I really appreciate all Wilder has done, and I don't want him to leave. However he needs to accept that "the system" isn't working with the players he's got. We've lost 80% of the league games this season. He needs to adapt, as that's what good managers do.

In terms of points gained, chances created, goals scored, and goals conceded, leaving aside the "entertainment" we are not getting, this can't be far off consistently the worst Utd team I've seen.
