All our strikers are as bad as one another. None of them could hit a cows arse with a banjo at this level; and that includes Sharp.
However, in mitigation the service to them is as poor as I have seen.
It’s not the strikers fault. When are we going to get that through to everyone?
Lewandowski will miss more chances than all our strikers put together this season. And he’s the best on the planet. That’s the amount of chances we... don’t... create.

Why not he did absolutely nothing? He offered nothing, it must be a nightmare playing in midfield with mcburnies movement up front.. may as well stick a wheelie bin up top
If you’re going to play shit tactics where you just concede possession to the mighty Fulham, then it’s not your strikers’ fault.

Feeding off scraps doesn’t come close to describing what Sharp and McBurnie had to do tonight.

I’ve said it a few times this season and again, Messi and Ronaldo would have looked shit up top for us tonight.

I actually didn't think he was that bad tonight, not good by any imagination but there were worse players out there tonight.
And partly in his defence i don't think he is suited to playing with his back to goal and being a target man. If you look at his goals for Swansea they are mostly from in or around the 6 yard box or him running at defences. We just don't create those chances for him.

Get the ball, have a shot at goal... You know something crazy like trying to actually score 🤷‍♂️
Get the ball, ok, well how’s about trying to play through the midfield and actually trying to create one or two a game?
How people are still blaming the strikers after 25 games, and the whole of last season is beyond me

The strikers don't move or offer anything tho to be fair, the midfielders only have anything to look for if Burke is playing and he can't finish to save his life, stick vardy in our team he gets 15 - 20 goals

He does need to pull his socks up though, it must have been cold up there tonight with the lack of match action he had.

Hes tha same for Scotland never looks like scoring but other strikers they play do... His movement is shocking for a £20m player

Words can't express how disappointed I was tonight. I thought this was the game where Wilder and the team would actually turn up but it's clear that we have capitulated. We have been as good as down for the past 3 months and I will be relieved when it's finally over and we are mathematically relegated.

The ride's been great and for the 3 years we punched above our weight. But now we've been found out and relaity is settimg in. We simply aren't good enough:

Drink driving Episode

Poor attitude

Couldn’t care less

Doesn’t act like a footballer full of attitude and acts like a total cunt excuse language.

Wants to take a look at himself

Before anyone defends him look at points above. Not singling him out but he’s a waste of time. I can’t defend mcburnie anymore.

UTB Fuck it.

Fucking hell. We played the exact style of football you’ll find I’ve always said will NOT bring anything from him.

Oli did fuck all. Billy did fuck all.
When are we going to stop blaming the strikers?
One thing we can probably find common ground on is that the forwards feed on absolute scraps. However, from day one he's offered nothing. A goal against Man United and out muscling a Brighton defender to score off the post. He's slow, gives the ball away cheaply and plays too deep. He wins the odd flick on but plays too far away from his strike partner as a 2 up front. He might have more success in a team with wingers but who knows? Hopefully if we stick with him he'll come good in the championship because I'm afraid that's his level.

But 95% of our fans were begging the club to buy these players...
especially Brewster.....there was numerous comments about how we won't sign him because we lack ambition.

Brighton wanted to sign Brewster but we showed more ambition.
Maybe our fans can learn from this,,,,,that every player has it's price and we shouldn't overpay.

I read some comments that we should overpay...give Liverpool 25 million and pay Brewster what ever he wants.
Some of our fans insisted paying 30 million for Brewster would be a bargain because in 3 years he's be worth 60 million.
I was pleased with both signings but we don’t and can’t play to their strengths, they are not supported or supplied by midfield,we can’t even pass to feet.
Mcburnie is not a target man and Wilder can’t see it.Brewster is not your man for chasing hopeful punts down the flanks.
Wilders tactics are sucking the life out of both players.

Put any striker who’s built to play in a free flowing side in the championship where he’s got a free role pretty much, and scores 25 goals, and ask him to become the next Victor Anichebe at the level above and they’d struggle.

The way we play when he’s on the pitch is embarrassing. And our fans are that scared to slate Wilder for it they put it all on the lad it’s being pumped up to.

You could honestly say that about any centre forward in any division though. Unfortunately for him that's not the case so you expect to see what they're made of. His second touch is a tackle and his body language leaves a lot to be desired. I back Norwood but I'm not stubborn enough to not realise he's near to the end of his shelf life and is starting to cost us. I just think he's a good footballer who never hides. We looked infinitely better tonight when he came on. However he's not the future. Neither is Mcburnie.

Sorry Chabuddy you’re right, I apologise. I know fuck all about football how dare I have an opinion.

To be fair to Oli Mac, Moose and Brewster probably get the same, so think about that for a minute, atleast Mcburnie runs around!
Yes he does. I don’t fault his effort. It wasn’t a dig at him.
ok 5m never rated him and certainly doesnt fit our system never thought i would say this but i would sooner have gary madine playing up front for us
Being saying this all along. I can never figure out why Madine was binned. Would have cost £2 million max. If it didn’t work out, not the end of the world. But £17 million and it doesn’t work out leaves a very bitter taste in the mouth.

Not sure why lad gets pelters for money we paid on him. Who the fuck els would come to us for that money, who would score more goals and make a bigger impact. We shop in a small pond, where we take a chance on unproven with potential. We can’t compete for proven goal scorers as they cost a fortune..............plus they wouldn’t score if we provided them with that pack of shite getting punted up to them.

System needs changing.
We need 2/3 new midfielders, strong, quick and creative.
Defence will be fine next season if we keep everyone- norrington Davies needs to play- he’s the real deal.
Strikers will score goals if we provide chances, Brewster can get 30 in the championship with some better quality around him.

Championship wages
Championship player
Championship club (at best)

Deadwood to set adrift at a £loss, gangly uncomfortable player. Can’t work out how “alpha” Leeds chav plays for Scotland. Don’t want to know. Get rid.

Agree on new system and that defence will be fine. You are spot on about needing midfielders with those attributes.
I am worried about our strikers though. Hopefully Brewster will start to show his potential. Billy and Didsy are running out of time. And for me the Jury is out on McBurnie. He has done it in the Championship before. But by God he looks awkward. Mousset is a write off.
Burke can run but can't finish.
So I would expect to add a fresh striker next season and ship a few out.
Which also may mean adding a few proper wingers if we change formation.

He reminds me of a slightly less shit Paul Williams. But Paul Williams cost about £13 and a quarter bag of wine gums.

Because it would have been so hard to put this in the thread you already created wouldn’t it?
