The abuse that has been dished out recently not just at our players but other clubs and even a referee is disgusting. There is no place in football for racist, homophobic, death threats or anything of the like. Disappointing but not surprising football as whole seems to be going through a really bad patch with online abuse. Man U and Southampton players have been racially abused in recent weeks so there’s a chance this is abuse received from the football sphere at large not Unitedites. However, certain players do seem to draw criticism more frequently from united fans and there does seem to be a pile in effect at times and there’s a chance especially on platforms like twitter that it’s gone too far.

Why shouldn’t the be able to use social media in case some slug abuses them ?
