According to claimer on bladesmad. A decent candidate for the 'worst players we've ever had' thread.

Bit over the top coops. He wasnt that bad! Had a good game at the sty and was fairly mediocre after that. In our situation he wouldn't be the worst addition IMO.
He was horrifically bad in the game after that v QPR.
My view is slightly clouded by the fact I'm going to get weeks of constant abuse from the Leeds fans in the office if we buy him - they think he's hopeless (as does the office Sunlan fan) - but I always thought he looks slow, clumsy and like he's out of his depth whenever I've seen him (apart from our game at Elland Road in September when he was very good!).

If I recall, wasn't he injured in the QPR game, taken off and wasn't able to play for us for the rest of the loan period ? Therefore some on here are basing an opioning on a very good game at Hillsborough,a poor game against QPR (where everyone was poor,)and admission by you that he played well in September).
In view of 2 good games out of three,I am curious as to why you think this may not be a good signing(if we are signing him) the majority of the times you have seen him he has played well
The Pigs game was 7 years ago. He can't get into the Leeds squad which has Alex Bruce in it. Surely even you think we need to do better
Why should we be doing better? We're 21st in the Championship with no serious money to spend and working close to our annual wage budget.
Opinions are fine sheffielder and I dont knock people who want to maintain high standards, but what sort of players do you think we can attract in our position and with the sort of funds we have?
We have to bring in what we can. If Neill Collins is all that is available/attainable and he signs then lets get behind the lad and the team. Moaning and being negative will do nothing other than make you depressed.

Thanks for telling me what to do. My opinion is he is shit and better off not to sign him at all. Sorry if you disagree with my opinion.
How many times have you seen him play 'live' in the last 7 years,Sheffielder ? Genuine question .
I saw him play at Wolves a couple of times about 3 years ago and he looked Ok. I didn't go to Leeds this season but CooperBlade says he played OK earlier in the thread.
With your comments,I take it you have seen him play quite a few times lately in order to base your opinion ?
Can you let me know how many games I need to have seen him 'live' in to be able to justify myself? From the games I remember seeing him play in (including at Leeds this season) I don't believe him to be good enough to play for United. Since being dropped from Leeds team their defensive performances seem to have improved and they have moved up the table. He was unable to get into a Preston team managed by Darren Ferguson of all people. If he does come I will support him however I wouldn't play him infront of the players we have already which really in my eyes makes him not good enough/shit; whichever one you fancy.
I wouldn't mind but I haven't been critical of any of Micky's signings so far, so it's not like I don't support what is being done. You on the otherhand will support anything we do. We aren't in a position to give people a punt and that is what Collins would be in my OPINION
You could also argue that Leeds improved since they dropped Bromby and Ferguson's judgement at PNE has put them on the verge of relegation
Fairly average player from what I've seen of him - better than Ertl, Lowry, Nosworthy, Bartley? Debatable. Though would if the rumour's true at the very least be a permanent signing, so would arguably have more to lose through failure than the loanees. Though arguably with less ability to do anything about it...
Can't see where anyone on here is denying you an opinion...but for someone to have an opinion,it is usually based on something which is all I asked !
You could also argue that Leeds improved since they dropped Bromby and Ferguson's judgement at PNE has put them on the verge of relegation. I've not seen him enough to decide whether he would be a good signing(again if the rumour is true)....however I am sure Adams has looked at him plenty of times in order to establish whether he is the right type of person to get us out of the mess we are in at the moment at the budget we can afford. have you got any alternatives we could consider ?
This is a forum so people on here can disagree with each other and question opinions...it's the whole point.
Might go against what a lot say on here but I feel if Adams can cut out the errors Nosworthy has made(is it down to lack of fitness as he didn't seem to make them last season?)...we might have a decent right back for the rest of the season
Just been on SSN
How old is he now?
When will Micky have seen him plenty of times? He was at Port Vale so not shopping the Neill Collins market. He hasn only played reserve team football since Micky came to this club and judging by how many reserve games we play that can't be many.
Who should he sign? Someone better! Micky said there was money to spend if the right player became available. Time to prove the point as I am sure there are many in the current climate

I don't think this is totally out of the question either. I am sure we all have roughly the same opinion on Nosworth but the injury has taken him out of the firing line for a few weeks now and let's hope he has been watching videos of how to put his foot through the ball!
