I would have been up at Students Union getting pissed on cheap cider. There were loads of Blades there.

Cheers GB. Everyone seems to love it. Let me know what you think. It will be posted out next week.
Good luck with the book definitely going to purchase one.
That picture of the suedeheads at the fish tank brought back memories
Had a good few mates on the Park Hiil and Hyde Park even though I lived on the Norfolk Park
Boxed at Hyde Away with trainer Henry Hall

Cheers, Let me know what you think. There are quite a few taken on Park Hill and Hyde Park.

we were in top rank that night full of celebrating blades all of us pissed what a night that was

Yes a fantastic night, went in The Lane Social Club, John Harris and some players were there. JH was his normal shy self, showing no real emotion. Went on to the pitch re living the goals of that afternoon. Ended up in the Indian across from Constatines on Carver Street, can’t remember it’s name.
A couple of the lads on the pitch earlier, ended up in The Goodwin Fountain and later West Bar nick.
Yes a memorable night out, great memories.

Talk of the boating pond and cafe reminds me of another stunt we got up to.
At that time, early 60's, most pop sold from the cafe was in glass bottles, with a refund given for returns ( 1d, or maybe 3d 🤔)
At first we used to scour the park for empties and then return them. We soon spotted that the ladies in the cafe then stuck the empties outside the back of the cafe in crates..
So. ..from then on our scouring trips became much shorter - our version of recycling, way ahead of time.. It took them a couple of weeks to cotton on.
Below, a couple more pics, including the remains of the draughts board.

Mick, just bought a copy. What camera and film were you using back in the day? The curved seat photo with the old fella is cracking composition, exposure and depth of field. Looking forward to the rest.
