Well I have to say that I am completely mythed that there is all this moaning and groaning in the forum at the moment. Call me a clapper, but I am happy as a pig in shit. These fellows Doyle and Bent will surely fire us out of trouble. I just cannot understand why people are so upset with Adams over these signings.

Darrent Bent is a cracking player and I can't believe we landed him. There was talk of him going to Villa for £24 million and we get him for a free! This is clearly the work of Tricky Trevour. Micalijo, you can no longer doubt that Birch has commercial skills!!?

I practically orgasimed when I heard that we had signed the England striker Bent, but then to find we had signed Irish striker Kevin Doyle I was sent to cloud 9. I've always admired him from his days at Reading and since at Wolves. I am puzzled that Mick McCarthy let him go, but I heard that him and Micky Adams are close. What a master stroke from Adams and Birch getting Doyle to leave a Premiership club to come to Bramall Lane.

I am over the moon at this last 2 weeks events and nothing can bring me down. None of Lenners wind ups, Micalijo's criticism of the board, Pinchy's vision of a footballing midfield and pessimism from Revolution and Grecian can bring me down. I will bow at Trevour Birch's feet if I see him and will give Micky a big kiss.

Well done Blades :D

On a serious note about Trevor, I am well aware that becoming a partner in Ernst & Young is no mean feat and incredibly given his dour public utterances he must have some charisma. Same for Chelsea and Villa jobs but the point is I think he is better suited to jobs where the fiscal pressures and big debts are matched with far higher turnovers. More room to manouvre and where attracting investment is much easier - to the extent he just watched Roman buy the club etc because he wanted to. whereas at BDTBL his role imo is pretty much academic. I've never run a company so I accept I am totally open to abuse but when the cost cutting so obvious and imo easy to implemnt in terms of selling and not signing expensive players, is he really needed or is he needed at his huge imo salary? Not saying his skills don;t command that kind fo wedge but sufc is really a pretty small concern now. Is running a football club with our turnover any harder than running a manufacturing business with same issues re key employees and not so key employees? I don't know?

I don't see any commercial masterstrokes and as Lenners quite rightly says the season ticket matter is his big chance to prove hsi worth to me as a keen and loyal supporter of the club.

If we need advice on administrations and insolvencies then quite clearly he is the man.

Olle, is consistently misspelling Trevour part of the rib-tickling nature of your post, or is it just sloppy spelling, leading to unintentional, but very welcome, additional hilarity?

i find it slightly disturbing that you would self inflict such personal humiliation on yourself

Wondered where you had gone Trig. What do you think?

(mental note: maybe that is why Trebour Birch is not replying to my e-mails)

Troll alert... nothing to see here. Move along.

The real trolls can't resist posting on threads they don't like or equally just don;t have a sense of hunour.

Did you amuse yourself when writing this?

Nope, but I amused one of the forums finest (see below) so I will sleep better this evening.

amused me.

:D

Found the original draft of that missive.

Well I have to say that I am chuffed to bits that there is all this moaning and groaning in the forum at the moment. Call me anything naughty and you'll get the agreement of the masses and an infraction, but I am a pig in disguise. These fellows Doyle and Bent are barrel-scrapings for us to mock. I just cannot understand why people aren't so upset with Adams over these signings.

Darrent Bent is a cracking player and I can't believe we landed him. I'm fucking hilarious, me. See how I've cleverly mixed up Darren, or Darrent, and Marcus. Easy mistake for hilarity's sake. Both are black footballers! Ha ha ha ha ha!

I practically orgasmed when I thought that not only could I mistake two Bents, but now United have signed another player with a non-unique surname so I can make more name-based "hilarious mistakes" I've got a stiffy you could hang your washing on, provided you only wash one small sock.

I am fucking distraught at this last 2 weeks events and currently my happiness is lower than a snake's arse in a wagon rut. All of Lenners wind ups, Micalijo's criticism of the board, Pinchy's vision of a footballing midfield and pessimism from Revolution and Grecian make me so horny I'd shag myself silly given the equipment. I will bow at Trevour Birch's feet if I see him and will give Micky a big kiss. Because man-love is bloody great.

Well done me. I'm bloody terrific, me. All hail me, my shed, Didier Drogba and everything Southern. :D

and people think that my original was not very funny

People know your original wasn't very funny, even though it must have taken the best part of a day to think up. Mine was over a fish finger sandwich and knocked out quicker than a massage parlour wank. Still, let the people decide, as a great politician once said. Or was it And and Dec?

Harry Hill wouldn't do it this way, he'd have a fight, but here's a challenge to Olle. Set up one of those voting things and really let the people decide.

He's very confident, he couldn't lose, he'll definitely put his money where his mouth is......

Ollie yer must be on the dark side of the moon ................ have yer been drinking yer mams sherry ? were falling faster than a pair of whores knickers !

It's been, probably the strangest promotion season I've ever known.

We've hardly looked impressive but seem to easily and deservedly grind out, win after win.
Also as we've been well clear in 2nd place for so long, there's been hardly any nerves, pressure or doubts.

The only downside in the whole season was after the 0-1 defeat to Luton in the home match.
Luton made us look clueless. With Boro looking so superior it It suddenly hit me after that match, that we might end up blowing promotion
but there's been a great (thoroughly professional) reaction since that match.

I do think Doyle and especially McAtee have given us that little bit extra....that helps us win matches.
Also there's not been much competition or consistency from the other promotion challenges, so this campaign has ended up being surprisingly comfortable.

We’ve had a lot of big wins where we’ve been played brilliant football (reading H, Burnley H, Blackburn H, Swansea H, West Brom A) I think the reason we’ve gone up though is simply the fact we’ve won games we really shouldn’t have lol, and as we know that’s what big teams are able to do. Look at last season, how many last minute winners/equalisers did we concede? That’s been the big difference.

A massage parlour wank is 40 quid there days and thats just for the wank, the massage is extra, I like to have one half an hour before I go in so I last longer and get my moneys worth.

Ollessendro was ahead of his time back then talking of Doyle…

As for this season. I’d love to know what the players think. Last promotion season and all the ones before have been on the back of years of obscurity and have been a big effort with players often playing above themselves.

This time, because of the players we’ve got and many seemingly playing patched up or below par, but still getting results it’s felts strange.

It’s not that we’ve been that much better, perhaps like Burnley have been, but that we’ve done it mostly in 2nd gear.

We’ve stepped it up and blown teams away in games for short periods but mostly we’ve coasted through games.

We’ve not seemed to panic when going behind or when teams get an equaliser

Against teams like Boro, Blackburn and Luton we’ve looked shell shocked but a game or two later and we come back as if nothings happened.

This season, whilst strange has seemed very professional. We’ve not been a soft touch and we’ve done what I’d say is just enough. There’s been outliers in both directors but mostly we’ve coasted through.

Just need to secure it next week

Just dunt feel like a promotion season.

We've not been relegation fodder crap but we've had to shithouse more than one win and we've not shown up for games where we absolutely had to (Boro, Luton).

What I'm trying to seh is, Hecky aaht.

I've cussed us more times than I should have done this season........expecting us to walk through opposition every game.

Under the pressure we are under, brought on by the uncertainty of club's impending sale - I then remind myself that Hecky and all the staff have done a magnificent job to keep us up there over a very long, injury hit season.

And we do have gifted 2 matchwinners in our Squad - it's made a huge difference in close games.

Ah. But av moved house (posh part o town) n its fallen darn agein. Not sure av got reit tools to rebuild it ere (ground uneven, its windier and wetter etc).

Is Pinchy still locked in there or did he spontaneously combust at the last election?
