Fair play to Sharpy for getting on the back shoulder of the one defender he knew he could have for pace . He earned that pen, though, and fair play for converting it under such pressure and given it was basically his first shot of the game. Loved his hug with John Egan at the end of the game. That meant a lot.

I actually thought Billy was pretty rusty (understandably). Delighted he bagged and got his 100th league goal but thought Brewster was far better in his brief spell tonight.

I hate criticising players but I thought that he was poor and that challenge was the height of stupidity. He plays like someone who is frustrated that he can’t do the things that he used to and gives away silly free kicks, when he gets frustrated by this.

Took the penalty well, but very noticeable that the standard of play dropped as soon as he came on we lost all a fluidity and dominance against 10 men. He should have been taken off after the goal and Moussett brought on to push their defenders back

Well done Billy, came on with not many games under your belt, forced the opposition into conceding a penalty.. scored it, got under the skin of their defender which stymied their forward play. But never mind, footballing brains say you should have been subbed. Opinions eh?

For everything that’s been insinuated about his character in a negative light over the last few weeks as soon as the final whistle went he went over to congratulate Ramsdale then pointed at bogle pushed Ramsdale over and clearly told him to reassure bogle after the lapse at the end.
