Friendly reminder if you're reading John. I hope you're looking forward to locking horns with such titans as Hibernian and the likes

If he’s moving for the money then fair enough I can’t knock him a footballers career is short and can end in a split second. The latest article from Rangers suggests that he could go there in the summer and be their top earner on around £40k per week:

Rangers News: Lundstram could become top earner at Ibrox
Sheffield United midfielder and Rangers target John Lundstram could become the club's top earner if he joins the club in the summer.www.ibroxnews.com
I mean, the figures cited could be utter bullshit, but imagine swapping the PL for the SPL. The SPL on the whole is lower Champ, L1 standard. It smacks of a lack of ambition and dedication from the lad. If he thinks he deserves more than we offer him, fair enough, but to leave and not even for another PL side?!
He's far from established here, had one purple patch for a few months last season, nothing before and no form or commitment since. It's almost as though a brief stint as a Fantasy Football legend went to his head.
My only regret would be not getting even a small fee for him, but for me, he gets nowhere near the squad again. We're low on depth, but we only want those committed to the cause.

Lunny, Beware of the mighty Staggies,Friendly reminder if you're reading John. I hope you're looking forward to locking horns with such titans as Hibernian and the likes![]()
Can definitely see him as the type of player who'd rather be a big fish in a small pond. It’s a complete no-brainer from Lunny’s point of view. More money, a manager he loves, European football guaranteed, and playing at a lower level so he should do quite well.
If that's the case then we should snap their hands off.REPORT IN ATHLETIC CLAIMS RANGERS ADMIRERS OF PREMIER LEAGUE MIDFIELDER, £4M POSSIBLE COST
However, according to the report, Rangers will face competition from clubs in the Premier League if they are to make a move for the midfielder in the January transfer window. The report has added that the 26-year-old midfielder, who is out of contract at the Blades at the end of the season, could cost £4 million this month.
No club would pay £4m when they can get him for free in 6months time. Possibly staying to end of season
Nothing against the lad, but I want to see him gone now. He knows he isn't going to be at the Lane next season so he's not going to put himself in harms way for the cause (and why should he tbh).
Let's get him out of the door ASAP, and bring in another couple in the middle of the park. Time for all parties to move on with no hard feelings.

Scott Arfield: Rangers midfielder faces up to five weeks out
Scott Arfield has a "significant" ankle injury that is expected to sideline him for the rest of Rangers' vital January run, says boss Steven Gerrard.www.bbc.com
Scott Airfield out for a good while.
They can risk it but would a million or two for Lunny be decent insurance to being down a key player in a crucial run in?
Rangers run inWhat 'Run in'?
If he isn't going to stay, then get rid.
But personally I can't see many sides being in for him anyway, maybe Rangers, but none at PL level.

Agree. Don’t understand why this has happened yet.And while we are discussing this, Furious George at RB and Bogle Right of a midfield 4
Lol. He's not changed the system as it works apparently.Has anybody thought that Lunny might not enjoy playing the style of football that CW is promoting?
Agree. Don’t understand why this has happened yet.
Watched Arsenal v Newcastle and Pedro Mari doing just what JOC does, think they got him last summer from somewhere and was not that expensive,he is Spanish not Mexican. It may just have something to do with Utd not having started a game with full backs and wide midfielders for four years. Also recruitment and development down to the Academy teams are all based on 3-5-2.
I also can't think of a CB partnership (i.e. Egan + ANother) that wouldn't get ripped apart by every Prem attack.
