So would our defenceAndy Carroll would struggle v Sheffield fc.
Will Carroll? Is Andy his middle name? With how our defence is currently commanding , will andy carroll struggle for anything on tuesday ?
Agreed, and the fact we didn’t bring one in when JOC was injured is beyond belief and is costing us big time. As well as being good going forward JOC was dominant in the air and we are a nightmare defending crosses without him.Until we can learn how to defend crosses into our box we will constantly lose games. Utd should be going out and bringing in a 6ft 6inch brick shit house of a centre half to cover for O'Connell. We havent played with an attacking left central defender for some time now so do the basics and let's get someone in that position that can defend for starters.
Don't see him starting back to back gamesHe’ll have a field day if he starts, much to powerful for us.
Allan Saint-Maximin has 'not been able to do anything for six weeks' after previously contracting COVID-19 and Steve Bruce admits it will be a 'big challenge' to get Newcastle United's talisman back.He might do, more worried about Saint-Maximin.
I can think of a defence against which someone who’s recently suffered a stroke might look good, never mind Covid.Allan Saint-Maximin has 'not been able to do anything for six weeks' after previously contracting COVID-19 and Steve Bruce admits it will be a 'big challenge' to get Newcastle United's talisman back.

What we haven't got to do is give away stupid free kicks like McG did that led to their Bristol Rovers goal.
We've had a lack of authority when balls come into our box all season - shows how we miss JOC and once again Ramsdale has to be better - counted three issues today that he shouldn't really be making.

Moore used to be the same, you could hear him from miles away shouting at them.Ramsdale is a bit of a wet lettuce in our box. Ffs, it's HIS penalty box, he should be barking out constant orders and coming out and taking control of it. Instead he's like a timid mouse who flaps at things. Just look up the road, do you think Westwood just sweet talks his defenders or does he bollocks them all if necessary? What about Schmeichel at Leicester...is he a timid mouse too?
About time Ramsdale realised he is the gaffer at the back and got that swagger and confidence that goes with it.
One of Hendos biggest attributes...his confidence.
