Got to be win the cup. It’s there as an achievement in our history.
Another season in the prem even after relegation is much more likely than another cup win based on our recent history.

Think about it, we could be on the list of cup winners... in our lifetime!!
Or, part of a list of prem fixtures every week, a league we have hardly any chance of winning in my lifetime.

It would be the most United thing to do by winning a major trophy when there's a big fat asterisk next to it, all whilst simultaneously having the least successful league season of any club ever. To further compound it, we won't be able to witness any of it happen making it all a pointless exercise.

FA Cup is about the day out and the occasion. Might as well cancel it this season.

If it wasn't a chance for us to get some confidence going I would want us to lose on Saturday/Sunday/Monday/Today (whenever the match is).

In this day and age, I think staying in the top flight has to be the choice. It maximises the club's exposure, makes it richer and allows us to build to a stronger position year on year.

There is also far more chance of us winning a cup in future, were we to stay up and establish PL status.

3 or 4 years in the PL doesn't set anyone for decades though. Ask Bolton, Wigan, Portsmouth, Sunderland and many others. A cup final stays with the club (and you, as a real football fan) forever.

I doubt either of us will still be around by the time that happens, but sure.

Cup win. A chance to be 5 times winners Sheffield United? Only 1 behind Newcastle and Man City. A couple behind Liverpool and Villa.

We'll be back in the top division sooner or later - cup wins are a bit more special for me.
