Unlike Sharp, there is still some chance that the others could be in future, as they develop.

To be fair, you seem to stand out as a poster with an agenda about certain strikers, so your post does raise an eyebrow.

These comments always draw negative comments to the players in question which is a bit harsh as they (im assuming) didn't tell their wives to make the comments. However you are correct. Sharp has done well out of it considering he has shown nothing to suggest he can perform at this level. He may still have a role to play if we go down though.

Not really the point I made that you put your own slant on !!

MY point was, that IMHO Sharp has more to offer in the #9 role than any of McBurnie Brewster or Moose at this moment in time. Nothing more than that.

I would add Burke and Dids to that list if it came to it, but, again in my opinion, they are not out and out #9s, so a bit unfair !!!

Dids and Sharp have never been given an opportunity in the PL. Not once.

To me at least, I find that beyond logical explanation.

He doesn’t need to see every combination in a premier league fixture to know what might work.

That said, it does get harder to defend when every existing combination fails so miserably anyway.

That’s the only point I’ve made. I couldn’t give a shit about his past here - he’s been a top striker for us - there’s no doubt about that and I’ve never suggested otherwise.

He isn’t a top striker in the premier league. He’s been part of our problem, along with all our other strikers. But unlike like them, age isn’t on his side, hence the question over the new contract.

Often in a hoofwaffe formation akin to Adkins fucking geese and with similar affect. Hopelessly inadequate tactics that would leave the best strikers in the world floundering.

My observation is that we have somewhat ditched the hoofwaffe formation over the course of the last few games. It, to my eye at least, has been better. Not hugely, but better non the less. An environment where a good all round # 9 could potentially flourish.

Now. Having been a part of a system that categorically DOES NOT set up well to his own attributes (never has and never will) I do find it troubling that with a change of emphasis, our poacher has not had a snifter.
