That site's accuracy (or lack of) can be summed up by their guess on Michael Verrips' salary. If you believe we're paying him £20k per week I've got some magic beans for sale.

PS Jags isn't on £50k either
 
Unfortunately the legacy for most of these players is now in tatters. How can they come back to the lane in the future and be announced as club legends....When they were part of the worst team in Premier league history.......So so sad.
 
Look we're shite and we have been for months now and we're definitely getting relegated before the season ends!
Can we get back to taking the piss out of politicians and the government now as at least that's funny???

I think we signed a deal with a player stat/data collection company late last season? A similar company to the successful Brentford model.

Of course as well as the stats/data you also need someone to actually go and watch the player play.

None of this is really revolutionary, as most clubs will use similar companies nowadays.

I think wider frustrations are something to do with it, at least in a way.

Football is our escape, no matter what else went on in our lives, we had that.

Have we had worse times than this? Undoubtedly. But the facts of our season are starting us in the face. One can only hope the players are feeling it as much as us.

I'm loath to lay into individuals, and I'm trying to be careful how I phrase the following. But Rammers needs a rest for me. The lad looks utterly bereft of confidence. Last night there was at least one that slipped through his hands and hit him in the face. Yes the conditions were shite but we are talking meat and drink stuff, at times his handling was like an outfield player had been asked to have a go in goal. This is a lad who represents his country at U21 level. Whatever needs addressing needs addressing now, we have little to lose by giving someone else a go.

It’s the Big Bladey Bladeyness that has kept Wilder in the job. You think all these “proper” fans would be giving him the keys to BDTBL for life if he was a Portsmouth fan man and boy?

That’s exactly my point. He’s great in L1 and Championship level football but, like many others who do well in those leagues, can’t cut it in the top flight. Last season we caught sides out with our style but, as I’ve posted before, they eventually worked us out and Wilder had no answer. And it’s not about being outspent either - he blew £120m but didn’t buy a single player who strengthened the starting XI. If, and this might be the ambition of the Prince, we just want to be a top half Championship side with the occasional season in PL, let him stay but we will never become anything more than that with him in charge. For now, he is becoming an embarrassment with his constant whining about the lack of quality shown. If you spend money on players like McBurnie Burke and Ramsdale, who’s fault is it?
 
Both teams created very few attempts on goal. One of Everton's went in, again very late in the game.

We're in agreement that his signings have been poor I'd never argue against that but in the clamour for his head on a platter have you really thought through the outcome of his departure? This season's a write off now but who's the best person to get us back in the premier league the following season? For me it's still Chris Wilder. Norwich stuck with Farke and are there or thereabouts again. Who's your man for the job?

I said in my post that, if the club want to be a Norwich, keep him. My concern is that damage he is now doing to the squad could see us stuck in the Championship because no decent players will want to join us.

Why do you think no decent players would want to join us? When Berge goes there'll hopefully be money to reinvest and aligned to the fact Mcburnie and Brewster will be playing at their level I'd think that might make us a decent proposition for someone looking for a move. What's wrong with being a Norwich? We'll always be a yoyo club and I'd rather that than a Bury, Bolton or Wednesday.
 
CB - we’re in violent agreement. Without a billionaire owner, we will only ever be a yo-yo club, that’s the reality of the PL now. My issue is that CW needs to stop his whining to the media, ship out the dross he has brought in. For instance, I do not want my team to field the embarrassment that is McBurnie or play the hoofball style that he represents. My fear is that CW is getting to the point where he won’t be able to get a side assembled and playing the way we used to. If that is the case, he’ll have to go.
