Outgoing? SANDER BERGE ON WAY OUT ?

Norwegian media outlet VG have suggested that it’s ‘very unlikely’ he will stay in South Yorkshire beyond this season – regardless of Sheffield United’s fate.
Shit like that (them reporting it, not you putting it here) just puts extra pressure on him with the fans, and devalues him in the Summer if he does go.
Smashing.

Berge goes then Moussett.
I think that completes Wilders British only jigsaw.

I only talk about what I see and that’s why I say we are stuck at the bottom of the league.
Which has got nothing to do with Mousset being injury prone, or Berge being ineffective, which is the point that I was addressing.

both are likely to be effective in the championship but they both probably wont be here when we kick off in august

I don’t think Berge is quick enough, in speed or thought, for the English game.

Mousset is constantly injured and unfit. That won’t alter, whatever division we’re in. He could be a premier league player of it weren’t for that.

If we get a decent offer for Berge then let him go. He would be a fine addition if we already had a strong midfield. He is big and strong and can play a bit but he is too one sided in how he plays and the opposition crowd him fairly quickly. Overall he hasn't been as effective as we hoped. Get some money for him and rebuild midfield

Pity CW didn't see that!

Loss making sale coming up
But we'll have to get him off the wage bill...... blah blah blah

And that will be enough to convince the club never to sign anybody of a higher quality ever again

Getting relegated might have the opposite effect. But it’s not about fees, it’s about wages.

I’m far from convinced that Berge is good enough at this level too. He certainly doesn’t fit in with us - and he was part of the problem when we peaked last season.

If he’d cost £1m, he wouldn’t have broken into the side.

Can't see the club signing anybody of a perceived certain quality ever again.
Grafters, tryers, workhorses, hoofers and those that nobody else wants.

We should stick to what we're good at......being crap in victory, being crap in defeat.

Much better than trying to make a Sabella, Leon Britton type a success at this club

He's a classy footballer and will have a stellar, Champions League of that I have no doubt. We're just currently too broken to utilise him to his potential.
Unfortunately he isn’t what a lot of blades think 22 million buys you he isn’t really an creator but what he does do he does well which is advance you up the pitch. He’s a players who’s involved earlier in the move and then plays it off to others for the assist unfortunately for him and us we don’t have anyone capable of providing those assists in midfield so more often than not the move breaks down and his work comes to nothing.

Strangely enough, if Brewster costs £23m, then I'm amazed we didnt get £30m for Duffy!!

I’m not saying they’re aren’t gems out there to be found in the lower divisions here or abroad because there are clubs find them all the time. But once a player is contracted to a club playing in a top European league prices sky rocket due to the level of competition they have produced it against. We did pay a premium for Brewster because he was contracted to a top six club he’d likely have cost brooks money had he been contracted to a championship club other than Brentford. If it was Brentford he wouldn’t have been for sale.

My future vision couldn’t be further away from yours. It’ll be interesting to see in the years to come. Either way, or won’t be with us.

I wish we had spent half of what Brewster cost on the young lad from Arsenal that Liverpool are now looking at to replace Brewster!!

I liked balogun at the time I’ve watched him play junior football and he is a good young player but then so was/is Brewster. I still think it might’ve been both we wanted not one or the other as we deffo weren’t expecting arsenal to ask 15 for him which was extortionate imo especially when he can sign a prenup contract this jan and it’ll go to tribunal who won’t rule on compo for 2 or 3 years. I’d still like one of those contracts which will be put in front of him this jan to be from us. I’d be surprised if he chooses Liverpool as everything he’s said suggests he wants first team football which he has more chance of staying at arsenal than Liverpool.

Can't see him coming to us, although I'd love him too, as I think Sharp is about done and Burke/Mcburnie aren't doing it, Moose is never fit, and Brewster needs a partner up top.

I wouldn’t mind a long term striking group of Brewster as the finisher, balogun as the physical striker he is with Mcburnie functioning as a target/link man and then Burke to stretch games when needed. Would also leave a spot available for a young development player.

Maybe the young lad at Hibs we've been linked too?

Maybe if wilder wants two poacher type players in Brewster and this lad as a sharp replacement. I like the idea of having a bit of a Swiss Army knife approach to building a striking core lots of different types of players who offer different solutions to different defences.
