The other fan experience thread seems to be more concentrated on stuff that the club needs to improve on - always important - but equally important i think is that the club needs to hear what it's doing that's currently very good. There's a danger if the positive things that the club does, doesn't get heard about then they may change it for the worse!

It'd be interesting to hear peoples views on what (if anything) the club does on matchday that is good, or perhaps the community based stuff that the club does that people like.

Stole my thunder Highbury, this was to be my next thread :D

I thought i'd save you the hassle. Wouldn't want people to think you're the clubs mouthpiece or anything :)

1. The Fans vote on the new Shirts

2. The Superstore is much better now it's been "remodelled"

3. Merchandise prices is spot on and up to date.

4. The Programme is better, informative and at a right price.

5. Turnstyle queue's are much better and more organised.

6. Keep up the good work with smart cards updating saving on getting paper tickets thru the post (when it's the Worthless cup, could we have our KOP smart cards updated so we don't have to go to the ticket office for a separate ticket, further saving for both Club and ST holder, (being fair, we never sell out for the stands we're in so we sit anywhere we like, so don't need a paper ticket reminder ;) ))

Agree with all that Kopped said. Praise also to the club for the 50% off sale. Picked up some right bargains. Do like the highlights on the big screen, although the playing of them seems to vary from match to match. Not sure why exactly.

Rugby tickets at BDTBL.

Could do with more info on ST's for the Rugby. I'm thinking of getting a few.

The smart card ticket system is great. The ground looks good for the most part. The ticket office folks are pretty good.

And I'm kinda in love with the blonde WPCSO who helps with traffic on Bramall Lane...

Agree with fan votes for kits.

I like the fans forum events too. I'm not sure if other clubs allow such access.

Erm......it's a convenient walk from the Rutland.

The club has been great with Scandinavian Blades visiting. Mick Rooker in particular is doing a fantastic job.

1. Guinness on the South Stand Concourse.

2. Smoking Area on the South Stand.

3. The Hotel Bar

4. The Programme

5. The Abundance of "sporks" on the South Stand (I'm struggling a bit here)

The guys in the ticket office are great but it's kind of countered by the fact that you only find this out when they're rectifying a problem (loyalty points not credited properly, asking for two tickets together and getting them on completely separate rows etc.)

Steak and stones pies. Locally sourced produce at its best. Had to have 2 on Saturday because the little one didn't know how to eat it once he'd eaten the pastry off the top of it - I missed the abundance of sporks, Worksop must've got them all.

The jumbotron seems fairly reliable these days - would like to see the goal montages they played last season return - but (most of the time) the replays are good.

Strangely they are located on the opposite walls to any of the kiosks at the "Sauce Stations".

The mobile bottled-beer-boys in the South Stand for when the queue is too long.

They need to pipe up sometimes though as they're often hard to find.

Cheap season tickets for kids. A wonderful way to tie up future generations of fans whilst making it more affordable for the adults. Well done.

I used to love my 70 quid student season ticket. Cracking value considering we in the Premier League at the time.

I saw this thread when I came on last night looking for anything on the Leon to return to Swansea rumour.

I have been been to Bramall Lane for each of the past four seasons with Swansea (3 league visits and one FA Cup) and have to say the stewarding of away fans is the best I've experienced in 20 odd years of travelling away. They are sensible about allowing us to stand (which allows happens away from home), make a huge effort to engage in friendly conversation/banter and deal with any emerging issues quickly and with humour so it doesn't escalate into anything serious - can't praise them enough. I contrast the Bramall Lane experience with the City Ground which has the most officious stewarding by a long shot and always creates a bad atmoshere.

Few pints of moonshine in the Vine just up from the Lane always goes down a treat too.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Thanks for that NJ... SUFC are doing their bit at the minute to try and listen to what the fans have to say with regards to their experiences at Bramall Lane so it's good to hear of away fans experiences too.

From the outside looking in, there's been some criticism of how it appears that stewards treat away fans at the Lane.

Cheers and best wishes to you too.

Not sure if this is the right thread or whether I should've posted on Len's one concerning STs...

I was over the moon when they finally introduced the flexi-ticket so much so that I was the first person they sold one to :) For me it's absolutely perfect. Or nearly ;) If possible, and for an increased cost of course, can they please consider upping it to 10 games and making it available over the whole season?

The Teen Blade initiative looks good value.

Not forcing those at the back of the kop, who prefer to stand, to sit down. (This is probably not official policy so I dunno if I should mention it).

Low key policing. and relatively friendly stewards

Allowing smoking in certain outdoor areas. This is a no brainer. No matter how bad it is for you, it's still legal, and maybe 1 in 4 fans want a fag at half time.

The superstore is well laid out and there are some good deals at the moment

Initiatives like meet the manager, and Q and A with the Chairman, also count among the good stuff.

I think United have done pretty well with changes they made over the last few years, can't really think of anything bad Yo be honest.
The only problem I have with the United Experience is not at the lane, I tried to take my 6yr old son to watch United train and got kicked off the training ground! Maybe it was a Blackwell thing I don't know? Anyone else been up recently?

The thread suggesting improvements is 6 pages longer than the one with the positives!
Cheer up blades!

Actually, I think United do an awful lot right. Most of the suggestions for improvement are really fluff and wont alter much at all. But there's the worry. It's really all fluff. It's about product and pricing. And I think we've got the pricing about right.

Those not prepared to pay £300 to sit on the kop need to find another hobby. Sorry. So it becomes about the product. I think they can get away without it being that good. It's the direction of travel that matters. If you believe in what's happening to take us forward and that the club has this at heart, you'll buy into it. This has been terribly damaged over the last few seasons as we became a business with a football club attached, and not the other way around. I think it's this the club need to convince its' supporters / customers of.
