I feel sorry everyone of those lads in the dressing room. We’ve not pulled up many trees but looked solid. And just when you get excited about the tactical changes some of us have been calling for, it’s gets snatched away. Interesting to hear what the pundits say. It was one of those tackles that if the opponent had the bollocks to challenge wouldn’t have been a red.

Sooo what formation we playing now?

Fleck dawdling on the ball way too often, well done to Chris for making that change as early as he did.

Has McGoldrick gone onto the right and Burke left with Brewster up top?

He kicked the fucking ball, what do you expect him to do stop his foot on the follow through action of swinging it to kick the ball he was first too 😑 he got the ball and it was the Brighton player having his foot where Lunnys foot was naturally going to fucking land. He went with his side fucking foot for fucks sake
He did get the ball first totally agree but the follow through is why the red was brandished, studs showing and not controlled is why it would of been given.

its an ankle/leg breaker if brighton players leg is grounded

I don't agree with the decision, but if Lunny hadn't taken an absolutely shocking touch then he wouldn't have gone flying in trying to rectify it. Other than getting sent off, he had a 'shot' from 65 yards. I hope this ends the "Lunny is better than Berge" shite that people were saying last week.

Yeah lets not be biased. It was definitely a red, the follow through after getting the ball was high and studs showing with force.

Don’t think Wilder will touch using a #10 now, went to try it today and it was spoiled.

The match day commentators on Talksport are discussing the game now.

Regards the sending off....they saying its a 50/50 decison. Would have been lucky to receive a yellow but unlucky to receive red.

They said it was actually a fair tackle and he won the ball BUT his follow through was reckless and dangerous.
They agree that 10 years ago it’s a yellow card (at worse) but the recent trends to take potential danger out of the game suggests red was correct.

They also expressed their concern at the constant screaming mainly by the Brighton players when players receive a challenge.
They said....with few fans in the ground you can now hear screams and it’s being used as a form of cheating,

........ and if your not a Blade most would agree that’s a red.
Not so sure it is a matter of when you’re down any luck departs.
You make your own luck.
WTF!!!

Sadly, winning the ball is immaterial. He used excessive force, undeniably so, and, in the rules, that's serious foul play.

Whether that's the game we want to watch is another thing, but he knows the rules and gave the referee a decision to make and his team mates a mountain to climb.

When Roy Keane thinks it's a bit hard and out of control....

What ever happens in this game today the decision of playing Lundstram and Fleck in the next game has been taken out if CWAK hands, so i can see Norwood Ampadu and Burke lining up.

I'm fucking done with football, this game is absolutely fucking ruined, winning the fucking ball is a red card Offense now and that's just fucking bullshit. The game of football is fucking ruined, done for, this isn't a fair fucking game, it is a fixed pile of bollocks where diving and cheating is allowed, but football isn't.

The fact the commentary team says he went over the fucking ball, when you could clearly see he kicked the ball under with his side fucking foot, it is just fucking pathetic, what are these cunts looking at. Fucking garbage
VAR is the problem again, ref gave a yellow. I just hate it

Stand up right now, swing your foot and then tell me where it goes? Does it fucking hover in the air?

No it comes down, he used his side foot to kick the fucking ball, his foot followed the natural angle and came down, his studs where not high, he stood on his fucking foot after going for and getting the ball first.

But fuck it, from now on I do not want to see any Blade going for 50/50 balls now.
Yes, he stood on his foot after getting the ball, that's the problem. You can passionately defend that pillock all you want, I'm not saying it should be a red, I'm saying in 2020 it absolutely is a red.

A first half which is somewhere between the Southampton and Man U performances (nearer the former).

Fleck was very poor. I wondered who Wilder was swearing at and it was him. Robinson is lightweight. Weak in the tackle and knocked off the ball physically twice before the sending off. I thought Bash and Egan did well. Baldock poor and needs help. Ditto Stevens. Stevens is being run down his side whilst Baldock has to keep fouling. Didzy played well and it was a lovely free kick. Lunny was clearly in for his height (not tackling!). Ampadu playing well. Busy. Brewster loses the ball way too easily and doesn't do enough to win it back.

Now we're down to 10, a draw would be a miracle.

Don’t see why we can’t nick this and get a win....Brighton are fucking shite in the final 3rd.

Can see Osbourne on but who gets the hook god only knows. Going to need Burke’s pace for the counter. Any chance of 4-2-1-2?

Yeah I'm turning the game off, I'm done, listening to those cunts defend that red is enough for me, the game is dead.

We are constantly playing against 12 fucking men, sick fucking fed up of seeing refs give decisions against us that they refuse to give for us, even with VAR these cunts can't see a ball cross a fucking line, honest football is fucking dead, you have to dive and be a bitch to play in this league, cheats always prosper

EXACTLY - it’s fine 10 years ago.

hasn’t been fine for the last decade!! You either play by the way the game is being officiated today or you get you self sent off going into reckless challenges like that.

If he takes a touch worthy of a PL player he might not have to make his second one a tackle. Lundstram you nobhead

Exactly, he stood on his foot, natural follow through from a 50/50 challenge
