Outgoing? Mousset?

He's back in training and posted a video of him sprinting yesterday!! Hopefully we can get him on the pitch before Xmas
Definitely off. The cone-on-roof treatment is a horse’s head esque message from the manager. Clearest signal since he bent one of Luke Freeman’s windscreen wipers back in June.

I'm only saying this because I have brought up his social media as a negative in the past, but he seems happy and motivated on there at the minute.
Everything seems to be about us and how much he is missing playing. I know that doesn't always mean much but with a young lad that seems very much a confidence type player I think the signs are looking positive.

*he did lose that sprint race to Fleck though

I didn't even catch what the injury was let alone how severe it is.

Rolled his ankle in training apparently
The noncommittal nature of that is worrying tbh I could be wrong but normally when it’s good news wilder comes out at says it’s touch and go for the next match or that it’ll only be a few weeks. I know a rolled ankle seems innocuous but there could be ligament damage involved. I’d love to be wrong and him be available for selection next match.

I agree but if that's all tell tell us what can we do?

I’ve found with Wilder:

“we’ll give them the next couple of days and they might have a chance” = Not a prayer of playing at the weekend.

“Back on the grass” = Couple of months before he’s near the first team squad.

“Working hard in the gym” = Sithee next season lad.

At the minute I’d like him to pick a partnership and persevere with it chopping and changing the front two isn’t getting results so stick with a two and see if they can build an understanding.
i would go with mousset and brewster even if they only last for 65 minutes with burke and mcburnie to come off bench

He's been given plenty of chances at Utd to prove himself and fulfil his potential but he is repeatedly unwilling and/or unable to do so.

This latest episode may well be the final straw and, if so, it may be worth moving him on so he becomes someone else's problem.

Such a shame - if his attitude and determination were right he could be a world beater.

Plans for him to go at the end of the season anyway, wonder if they'll be forwarded now.

Source?

Not saying he won't leave (although to who?)... But he's rapid and a threat at this level on his day. As he's already on the books and within our wage budget, it makes sense to try and get "his day" to be a regular thing. Potentially many more of them in the Championship even if he never becomes a model pro/athlete.

Shown no pace at all when he's been given a chance this season, rarely breaks into a jog.

On his day.... indeed, but unfortunately those days were 14 months ago.

Alright matey - as it happens I also think Lys is going to kick on this season. Think there’s been a concerted effort to push him on within the club and I reckon it’s gonna work... but for the sake of a good cause I’ll take you up on the bet. If he comes up short of double figures I’ll put £20 into Billy’s charity.

Can I trust you to remember - I’ve got a memory like a fucking sieve?

Don't worry, I've not forgotten

I'll be using my winnings from the bet I just put on us to not win a game all season (25/1) to fund this 🤣
