Came on and looked decent, didn't have to put himself about which is lucky because he won't (and neither would I if I was looking for a new contract soon), once again shows how bad the others coped.

I joined s24su a decade ago just as we were plummeting to div 3 again and was at a low as the perfect storm of managerial uncertainty and a crippling injury list combined to do for us.
It did not come as a shock as a club we just have never had the clout financially to add that bit of quality. We have had to sell since John Harris was in charge.
We had a board that never changed when money started to be the factor that said how you'd fare.
The late seventies turned us from being a respected top club into mediocrity
We missed out on investment due to being poor when we should have been at the forefront
I don't like to clobber McCabe because he wasn't richer than he was
He ran the club as best he could but compared to similar sized clubs we were reliant on one mans not very vast fortune. Comparing to the last club we played west brom who have a board full of millionaires. They can pay better wages and we still are years behind.
Our cash injection for getting in the prem is just a temporary boost to pay a few fees. We still don't have the financial clout to pay big wages.

We will struggle in years to come unless we get more financial backing and a board of investors
Wilders great run is stalling as we can't pay wages like the others and we missed out on several targets due to financial reality.
We are trying to buy Jaguar cars with
Dacia level funding.

I won't name names because it just creates conflict but there's a handful on here who seem to have the view if you don't have perma-positivity and have the audacity to say anything critical about the manager or players, then you're not in their superfan stratosphere.

Lighthearted post to show those posters that have a certain opinion and will stick by it until the cows come home. Off the top of my head I have:

Danetheblade - despises Lundstram (aka Lunwank) with a passion.
DronnieBlade - Sharp > McBurnie (who I get the impression he doesn't rate as a footballer).
sitwell - Norwood is good, Berge is not.
blade too long - Endless optimism that cannot be extinguished even after 1 point from 10 games.
Me - No matter how well things seem to be going, the Blades will always find a way to balls it up.

Please add as appropriate and try not to turn it into an abusive thread.

Not sure if that's aimed at me, it probably isn't Dev. But after my post yesterday it may be, and I just wanted to clarify that I don't believe that those who are critical are not fans or aren't good fans are whatever really. My best mate who's a Blade is constantly critical, glass half empty type, but I love the debates we have, and he's the first person I ring after a Blades match even though I usually feel worse not better after the call!
