I would beg to differ on the defensive issue. If we carried more of a threat going forward and put some of our chances away. This would automatically take the pressure off our defence. At the moment because of our toothless attack, the defence only have to make one mistake and the game is lost.
Yes we should take our chances, however under any pressure we eventually concede. The only reason we didn't concede more yesterday is that changed their tactics to a more defensive approach second half. Robinson, Bryan, Lowe are all covers signings who just aren't anywhere near premiership standard.

He signed them because he could not sign the players he REALLY wanted like Cash,Watkins and Robinson because of our wage structure Plus he did tell the board it was vital we sign a center back before the season started but they were not forth coming with the cash. Also in the prem 20 mill is peanuts when buying strikers even if we think it is a fortune (which it is) to us. This is how far the prem is out of touch with the real world.

But we've become Premier league fans simply because our expectations have been raised by how we have played and how we reached the dizzy heights we did last season.
However those same expectations have been kicked in the bollocks by the complete ineptitude of the performances we've witnessed in recent months!
My expectations this year were 14th to 17th finish. That looks like a tall order now but chucking baby, water and bath out ain't an option for me.
This is the first bad spell we've had since Southend 2016-17, we aren't a force yet and we may never be. That takes time and the right people, and money.
Not for the first time we may go down, but I believe it would be a step back to regroup and not spiral down the leagues. If we stick with CW/AK.
Last night's result was really bad in terms of not beating the team closest to us. I listened on radio Sheffield and have seen the highlights, should have stuck more than one
of the scoring chances away. Different world altogether if that happens.
Always rated Johnstone as a decent GK, but the bugger has his best games against us. On balance, Rammers saved a good few.

I still want wilder in but we can’t blame the board. he’s had 120 million. The squad has huge deficiencies in it.

why bother signing bogle for 6-8m when he can’t even make the bench. Why not use that money on a better centreback when we knew JOC wasn’t right.

What was the point in Brewster when we have no ability to create anything from midfield.

22m on ramsdale could have been saved with signing a keeper on loan again (even if it wasn’t hendo)

The simple fact is that they money has been wasted. We’d be no worse off if we’d not spent a penny this summer and that’s the sad indictment of our recruitment so far.

Agreed.
If we're sticking with CW then there needs to be some progress, or signs that if we're going down then we can make a good shake of coming back up.

Comparing us to Farke/Norwich is just stupid. They spent about £5million or something and were always expected to struggle.

Our plan was to progress on from our good 2/3rds of last season and consolidate in the league. Instead of this we have managed to go backwards at an astonishing pace. If current form continues who can say that we will suddenly turn it all around in the Championship and come straight back up?

I would give CW until Xmas to show that we are going to make a good attempt at staying in the division. If so then stick with him but say that moving forward our recruitment strategy will be over seen by Van Winkle.
If we are still on 1 point by then I can't see how CW remains in the job. I would appoint Van Winkle as interim manager whilst we formulate a new direction for the club.

Ithink you have it about right there.

I watched until the 80th minute when I really couldn't stand watching it any more!
We were yet again inept. Terrible even and devoid of any idea of how to score!

Unfortunately this bad spell you talk of goes back into the back end of last season and CW admitted then that he could see the weaknesses, but his idea of fixing the problem and strengthen the team just hasn't happened and with this bunch of, in my view, hopeless cases playing for us this bad spell is going to continue into 2021!

If this was last season, and we'd come straight up and only won one in ten, no one would care and we'd be singing our hearts out home and away regardless of the score.

One decent season and people expect Real Madrid!

His MO has been to buy the best from the league below. I think that is now looking to be inadequate in the PL. Wilder will learn from this. If we were to sack him he would likely go to a Championship club, take them up and, with what he has learned from this episode, keep them in the PL. I would feel royallly pissed off if that were to happen. I would therefore, stick with him. I believe he is the best manager we could possibly hope to get. I'd give him a minimum of 2 seasons to get us back up, then review.

As we're sacking CW, let's sack ourselves an' all. Find some replacement fans with premier league qualities who can slot straight in. Enough is enough as far as us Blades
are concerned, we haven't been anywhere near up to the job.
Oh I don't know - the entitlement and demands for instant success are right up there with Manure, Arse etc. Plus most supporters apparently know far more about tactics, selections, wages etc than the current management team.

I think we are in good company.

Expect Real Madrid? Where do you get this idea? I just want us to put up a brave fight against relegation, I don’t see how that’s unreasonable.

Yeah I admit, I was a bit ott with that comment and I wasn't trying to have a pop at anyone. I was only trying to make the point that ithe reactions wouldn't have been anywhere near as bad if we'd had this run of form last season. I just let the bad mood get carried away with me! Its not unreasonable at all mate, and I'd love to see a bit more fight too. Tough times ey!

Well i can understand your view point but prem clubs do sign players for back up reasons knowing very well they may not even make the bench.I think i am correct in saying Chelsea had something like 35 players on loan at various clubs last year most worth millions who can not have a sniff at the first team.I think Bogle was signed for back up reasons and not many thought he would walk in to the team.We do not have a big back up squad like most prem teams mainly because of financial reasons and not been able to attract the quality required for the prem mostly because of our wage structure .As for the mid field not creating anything I think they are creating enough for us to win games but putting it in the net is the problem.Yesterday and the Fulham match there were stacks of chances being created not to mention other matches that we should have got something from but our strikers are firing blanks.

Are you sure you didn’t stop watching earlier?

Devoid of any idea of how to score?? Did you conveniently stop watching whilst we were creating one of our numerous excellent chances?

Too busy finding a meme to watch the game?

We didn’t score though and lost 1-0 against the team everyone said would go down, we also drew 1-1 to Fulham. We’re now the wank team that everyone takes the piss out of.

P.S. creating chances doesn't equal goals scored! 🤨

Mainly so called Blades or pigs take the piss out you mean ? The fucking relish with which some wankers love to take the piss out 'our team' makes me puke ,even WBA fans admit they were lucky. I used to think that lot from South barnsley were entitled but the state of some of the comments today just shows what weve got.
