We're going down like BHS
We're going down and it ain't no stress.
Seriously guys, we're fucked in mid November, at least we know where we stand. As I posted on another thread, just think of poor old Watford, worked their bollox off playing some great football only to get sucked in and relegated on the last day (just knew the fukin ghost goal would hurt someone) - anyway I'd much rather have our fate sealed early, as opposed to a fukin last half hour of the season 2 yard miss from Danny fukin Webber.
So, my point is, we're shit and we know it, with all the crap that's occurring at the mo, covid and shit, just chill, enjoy the ride down into the Champ, relish the fact there's not gonna be any 'end of season' trauma, CWAK may stay, maybe not, at the moment, I personally don't have a strong opinion.
I've supported this club for 60 years, the river keeps flowing....

It seems to be a general attitude around here at the moment, there is no talk of Wilder keeping us up it’s how he’ll get us promoted.

If there is no belief that Wilder can keep us up, then it’s sadly time for him to go. We can’t give up our Premier League status without a fight.

If we are not showing any fight this season, what makes people think that things would be different next?

Football is a ruthless business and if you don't adapt and evolve then you get found out.

We will finish top of the mini league of four. It is written.

Imagine replying like that to someone who has a different opinion to you. Terrible!

Let’s all relax cause he got us here. Fuck where we are heading right now, doesn’t matter cause he got us here in the past.
And where is it we are heading? Oh back to the championship well di dums! You lot keep coming up with this brainless idea to get rid of the best manager we have ever had after one bad run in circumstances that at unparalleled! However you can’t come up with a replacement who could genuinely keep us in the division with the players we have.
Let me let you into a little secret, we had no right to get promoted from the championship, we had no right to do what we did last season! How about you suck it up and if we go down let the man who has more than proved himself get us back! Oh no let’s go through the merry go round of managers we have done in the past. Can you tell me how that’s worked out in the past! Stop being a fanny we are having a bad time of it suck the fucker up back the club and the team the best you can which means not coming on a message board calling for the managers head! Show some loyalty you will have been lapping up the good times!

We were far from shite today.
Different day, we’ve won 3-0 with a Mcburnie treble.

But we didn’t. If we had beat Wigan with Warnock we would have stayed up with a Danny Webber goal...but we didn’t. That harsh life of football I’m afraid.

Yes but the level of performance is relevant. If we were getting beat 3 or 4 every week, I could accept the doom mongering. But we’re being edged out in tight games.

it’s too late to change the Danny Webber chance. It’s not too late to rescue the season.

Not sure if you've seen. But we've been wank since the beginning of the first lockdown. This "bad run" is starting to well and truly wear thin, and I wouldn't blame the prince for binning wilder off due to poor results, a stubborn approach regards changing anything at all, and a general defeatest attitude. "We can't open up against the big hitters" "effort was there" where? Effort being passing side to side football. We're in the premier League, smashing the wings then crossing (which are 99.9 percent shite most of the time) isn't working, hasn't worked for some time now.. so why'd we still do it?

Binning wilder off! I wish we could bin “fans” like you off!

I’m sorry, but those who watched us start the 90/91 campaign would/will be spitting feathers at the defeatist attitude some of our fair weather “supporters” are showing right now. It’s there for everyone to see, that we’ve had a horrendous start but chucking in the towel so early? We are 1 win off getting out of the bottom three!! This club and its fans have had to fight for everything it’s ever had over the years. No help or handouts so let’s show some unity and back the team that got us here in the first place. The situation is concerning but the attitude of some is a joke. Too many were spoilt by last seasons over achievements and have let it go to there heads

Speaking as someone who has seen every game this year and who saw every home game in 1990-1, the current team is far worse, relative to its peers, than the 1990-1 team was. That team had a goalscorer and an excellent keeper, for starters.

Plus we added, dare I point it out, a creative midfielder in January who was an enormous help in saving us.

That team also had a fan base that got right behind them no matter how much we were struggling. It’s was an “us and them” scenario and it more than played it’s part. Today? The toys come out of the pram at every available opportunity. Everyone has a right to be concerned, point out where we are going wrong etc but the constant defeatist attitude is not what Sheffield United are about

That is not true. We were booed off at home against Coventry and there was discontent at the end of the Everton and Sunderland home games.

After Sunderland, everyone I knew thought we were going to be relegated. Dave Bassett said we'd stay up. He was a lot more positive than Wilder is being.

We still stuck together. We roared them on at Villa when we hadn’t scored in about 7 games and at home to Forest. Even in the games you mention we didn’t start by moaning and complaining like today’s fans.
It’s definitely not the ‘Sheffield United way’

We would have roared them on yesterday, particularly after a good first half showing.

Don't make the mistake of assuming that people who are critical on the internet won't back the team.

i think your right 1066 although i do understand other supporters frustration with your post ive also been following the blades for 60 years and seen many promotions and relegations and this season mirrors the 75-76 season for me great previous season high hopes then bang all falls apart however this time im convinced that if chris is allowed to stay as manager we would have every chance of coming straight back up 2 or 3 would be sold but sound investment with that and parachute payment and we will have the best squad in the championship and at least then go back to our old marauding aggressive attacking style again utb fto

Sunderland at home was the Beesley debacle wasn't it? It's a good job that we didn't have forums in those days. 😂

What so "top fans" like you can sit and applaud like a seal at the dross that we're all having to endure? Embarrassing protecting this season's results and style (loosely termed) of play.

“Relax and accept it”. Wouldn’t have wanted to be in the trenches with you.

In all seriousness though I get the sentiment but it’s still hard to just accept it when we care so much.

If we’d have stayed up by the skin of our teeth last season it’d be easier. I’m mainly struggling to accept how we’ve gone from challenging for Europe to looking like potentially one of the worst teams to ever play in the division, in the space of months.

I remember the disconnect between the rabid anti Nigel Adkins stuff on here and the support he and the team had in the ground (until the final stages of the season). There is definitely an obvious polarisation of views online in many cases.

We would have more points on the board if we were in the ground. Can you imagine just how loud it would have been yesterday at kick off? The opportunity to get our first win against West Ham?

It would be mighty next Saturday night, under the lights after a day on the pop.

Who’s protecting anything where have I or anyone else defended the results this season? Never you are talking utter shite pretty much like you have done for the past 12 hours!
We are a very small fish in a very big pond, last season has created people like you! So come on then mr football manager who do we employ to keep us up? Come on surely you must have a saviour who has been voted manager of the year 15 times plays great football and has kept a team in the premier league for the last 20 years. Come on let us all know your Pearl of wisdom and sell it to us why you think another man could keep us up? I am waiting with baited breath!

No. We shouldn't accept it.
As a club we should be fighting until the last second to stay in this league!!
