Wow what a miserable thread. Don't deny that watching non Blades matches is a lot more yawn inducing. Watching Blades is still my highlight of the week. All my lights go on and I am totally absorbed yelling at the screen. Some brilliant moments against Liverpool like when Ossie nearly scored with a flying volley. I can't just give up on this team I've supported all my life. Also watching motd2 interesting to see that 2 of the 7 candidates for October goal of the month were against United... makes you think. Up the fucking Blades.
Agree totally - just WOW - there are some really sad people around.
Anyway...............Shit happens - this just happens to be massive shit.
To put things in perspective a little.
My 90 year old mother (she's extremely well for her age) has been out of the house TWICE since the original lockdown in March.
I am going over this afternoon to take her two weekly shop from Aldi and at the same time to take her out of the house for the third time because the on call nurse is so busy that she can't come to my mums house and give her the flu jab.
NOW THAT IS REAL SHIT.- three times since last March. It won't be just my mum, I'm sure many others on here have similar stories.
Whilst we have a major problem created by the fucking Chinese (who appear to be doing very well out of all this btw) my mum thinks she will DIE if she goes out of the house by the general noise and (some) nonsense created by the increasing doom mongers that is the BBC and other media outlets........what was it the other day - 4,000 deaths if we aren't careful...........which proved to be outdated data!
As for football - As some of us have written before - we won't be going to a ground this season - so just get used to it.
The world will get back to normal - so will football, but it will be a long haul with changes that some of us will see for years to come - some will die before the whole "problem" gets back to something like normal - although COVID is here to stay apparently so we'll just have to hope "the world" finds a pill, a jab, or anything that in effect allows us to get it and then (hopefully) get rid of it just as quick.
As for diminishing interest - not all all - if watching United on the tele box or an internet feed is the only way, then so be it.
born a Blade, live a Blade, die a Blade - there's zero diminished interest here - fucking grow a pair for what the real problems are.
