We seem to be linked to players in Jan, but where will the money come from?

"Sheffield United are considering a January bid to sign Preston right-back Billy Jones".

With our recent announcements of poverty who will we be selling to get these replacements in?

My guess would be Hendo, Wardy and maybe even Monty with Ertle taking his place.

Maybe it's all a cunning plan. Pleading poverty to keep those greedy agents away - and then pouncing when the price is right. ;-)

If we are looking to raise £5.3 million these players and their wages would not raise that amount.

If we do aquire players without reaching the £5.3 million then we are borrowing again, basically making the same mistake as last season (admitted by McCabe) and to date, this season.

Gonna have to take the medicine sooner or later

If we want to raise £5.3 million then someone will have to start selling body parts. I wonder if Ryan France would be worth more to Mexican organ traffickers than as a whole player?

where will the money come from?.

Where does the £5.3m figure come from? Have I missed something..?

the accounts say we need to raise 5.2 million over the next year to keep trading as a going concern, or something. The whole squad isn't worth that in realisable fees.

ched ? useless striker who doesnt score goals

Cresswell is closer to fitting the bill. He's the same as Geoff when he was signed - useful in the recent past, but now a big donkey.

Could it be that we will have a "shit or bust" splurge in Jan.......?

Is that over and above what we expect to take in via Season tickets/matchday income?

And we know it's someone NW has wanted to sign in the past. I say we give QPR Cresswell on loan for the rest of the season with the option to buy*

*Note: for the purposes of this transaction, "option" may be substituted with "obligation", particularly once the buyer realises their considerable error

Yes it is. The £5.3m shortfall is based on the next 12 months projections. It could be less if we hit the top 3 circa April and launch next years STs to coincide with a deadline before the play-off final:rolleyes:

Fookin hell.

Party had plenty of booze, decent music, but the party organiser forgot to invite the attractive birds.

I've been to plenty of those :(

Downstairs we've got all the mingers, meths and a constant loop of Agadoo.

Upstairs the host has all the talent crawling over his face, a crate of finest bubbly and the Stones playing live in his boudoir.

Never mind. At least in S6 the tape players bust and they've run out of glasses.

I am hoping the club is looking at this in another way. by getting in younger players in January (not on loan) this will mean the wage bill can come down for next season as we won't have to rely on loans especially like Nosworthy (12k) etc;

Sounds bizarre I know but we need a few players in now to make cuts later

we should be safe this year. we have noone worth buying. (that we own anyway)

It's obvious that a lot of posters on here don't believe in father Christmas. I've sent my note up the chimney and am hoping the big man delivers. I also believe in tooth fairies, the loch ness monster and that the squad of players at bdtbl are a good set of lads and talented footballers.

Yes Dunc, its in the accounts, Cashflow Shortfall Owd Luv

There are 3 options the Board are considering,

1/ Outside Investment, which is really someone just handing over £5 million, aint gonna happen, but someone could lend the money (McCabe) but that just racks up the" Internal Debt"

2/ Borrow the Money from the Bank, that just racks up the debt again, plus the Interest, and just what we have been doing for the last 18 months.

3/ Sell Players and free up Wages

Remember we are £5.3 Million short, so no re-investment until that figure is reached, else it will just rack up Internal Debt, and that costs more money.

The solution is to stop spending, do the selling.

Pass go, collect £200, get round the other end and McCabe puts some hotels on Mayfair and Park Lane.
We'll be using the same currency to become debt-free in 2013.

We may have no one worth buying, but we are still paying them, which, when the Bean Counters have done the Sums, we are a big fat £5.3 Million Short.

We need someone to actively sell our team to our competitors, maybe even give them away, and pay for the privelage, if that works out costing less.

It paints a bleak future, but I am sure Kev has a Solution which will "benefit" the Club

The wages of the players we have on loan at this moment come to nearly £4 Million.

Surely not, or are you saying that's what we would be paying if Reid and Batth were with us until June?. If you're not then exacetly how much does nos cost us

now sumbody just mentioned 'creative accounting' to me................anybody know what it means ?
