McBurnie

I know McBurnie has taken some stick in recent weeks but I thought tonight's performance was as complete as you will see from an opposition striker at Anfield this season. He isn't in the team to score 30 goals he's in there to hold up the play, win headers and work hard and I thought he did all of that brilliantly. He was the reason we had more success out wide as he was keeping Gomez and Fabinho occupied in the middle winning headers, causing confusion and exposing both Liverpool full backs. Yes I'd love him to start scoring more but if he plays like that every week he will create so many opportunities for his strike partner which will hopefully be an in form Brewster or Moose. Plenty to be encouraged by tonight including Osborn at LWB and Berge as usual. Just dont look at the table! UTB
A lot of truth in what you say but at this level you have to take big chances which
Mcbernie misses whether he,'s in the team to make chances for others or work his bollox off.
He's frustrating me to hell as he did last season ,Wilder I feel will feel the same even though he gave him a pat on the back in his post match interview.
He scored 20 + goals for Swansea in our promotion season he wouldnt have scored that many missing the kind of chances he misses for the Blades.

He wasn't in my suggested line up, but McBurnie was great today. Superb in the air and caused them problems all game. He could be able to dominate Man City's centre halves aerially as well, and I'd like to see him with Burke from the start.

I think several of our players will start performing better if we can make our midfield to work as well as today.

Someone else with sense it seems eh Bruce Wayne

McBurnie didn't know he was offside. There are a handful of players letting us down right now.

Stevens, Lunny, McBurnie (maybe Osborn)

The rest are more than capable of winning games, these 3 need upgrading.
Ozzy should be first name on the team sheet after his brilliant performance tonight, don't know what you base your comments on he's one of the few with energy, fitness and speed.

Wheres' the fucking quality final ball!!!!

If you can convince me McBurnie is better than a Championship striker I'll let your insult fly.

Not really bothered if you do or you dont. He had a quality game against a quality team, was strong, won everything linked and you just whinge about an offside chance in the first half. Its just troll level.

Even dronnie has said he was "improved", which should speak volumes for the level of performance.

He's not good enough at this level. How many chances does he get, how many chances does he have to miss?

And who the fuck is Dronnie?

Course you do bud. You saw today and thought Mcburnie was poor. I get it

No sides. Predjudice free.

He is not GOOD ENOUGH and till he proves otherwise I will say it. Big waste of money.

Tell him to pack his Stone Island gear up, put on his daft hat and go back to Swansea. He is Wilders worst signing.

I am not saying that he has been a rip roaring success, but "Wilder's worst signing" ?

Come on mate. There are a few outright flops that are miles ahead of McBurnie for that accolade.

Money spent he is

Generally think he's great, just can't score at the minute, ultimately as a striker that is how you are judged. However feel if we play to his strengths, getting it in the 6 yard box to his feet he will score, currently playing him as a target man and he's frustrated needs a goal to kick on...
Name me another ‘great’ striker who doesn’t score goals. Come on.

He wasn’t shite tonight, nor was he great. When it comes to putting the ball in the back of the net he’s almost at donkey levels, but he was quite good at other aspects of his game tonight.

There's a big difference between Firmino and McBurnie. He can score goals and has quality
Firmino doesn't score many, he scored 9 goals in a title wining season and has 1 thus far this season. Just because someone plays up top doesn't mean they are there to score goals, football has evolved from 4-4-2 with two "centre forrards".

As for "has quality", McBurnie has qualities, he's outstanding in the air and is better with the ball at his feet than many give him credit for he just seems to be this seasons "scapegoat" a couple of misses in the last few games and all of a sudden he's league 1 championship standard according to some.
