Really really promising ...but

Unfortunately, that is likely to be the truth.

As plenty of us have said, we're unlikely to ever get bounced by anybody; we are invariably competitive. We do not have sufficient quality in front of goal to actually get the goals to win matches, however.

I feel we're a better team than Fulham (notwithstanding last week's result) and WBA, but by the end of the season that will be no consolation because there'll be a big gap to the rest.

People seem delighted that he rags defenders about. He's nailed on to win the EPL Golden Rag Award at the end of the season. There's your £20m right there...
Agreed. People ignore the fact that one of the fundamentals of being able to be a good footballer, is being able to actually control kick the ball with your feet; something which McBurnie seems uncomfortable with.

You could provide a link to when he did control the ball with his feet. He scuffs nearly every shot he has.

Its not the forwards it’s the system we play, it’s actually getting boring to watch, maybe not enough talent to run at teams, but tippy tappy football is never going to cut it. Whoever we play up top they will never see the ball,

I think it's worrying that we hardly troubled Alisson. 2 of our 3 league goals this season are from penalties (and we missed another). We really really really need a find a way to be on the front foot against teams. Not against the top 6, but the likes of Fulham are shit and we should have lost.

We won’t score enough goals to keep us up

lots of plaudits and very plucky but we don’t have the players to score enough goals to keep us up IMO

but the other week almost every Blade was saying

Brewster = Guaranteed goals = staying up.

They were all saying pay Liverpool what they want....because “he’s brilliant”.
However many were saying we won’t show the ambition to sign him because apparently we never show ambition.

Should've started Sharp and McGoldrick or Burke, I feel vindicated about this now.

Look on the bright side, 2 'seem em given' pens and a marginal offside in the last 2 games. If our strikers can't keep us up VAR just might..

Brewster may be great, he may not, but we're basically counting on him being a flesh and blood Roy Race if we want to stay up!

Did you watch it?

I like Burke but he's all pace, head down and no vision. He could have played in players at least twice tonight for free shots in the box.

McBurnie was most probably signed on the basis of the half decent game he had against us when playing for Swansea. To me, he seems like a full weight dickhead. Caught drink driving whilst speeding. Fucking about like a second rate hooligan at Swansea games thinking he’s ‘top boy’. Rolled down socks like some shit Charlie George impression. £20 million, probably quite a bit of my season ticket money spent on him? Fuck off, I’d rather a young, hungry Sheffield lad take his place.

McBurnie missed a big chance tonight but was otherwise excellent. People slagging him off tonight made their minds up about him ages ago
True DAT !
I've been disappointed with him this season but tonight was much more like it

You might not think he played well but to just tell ridiculous lies is embarrassing really

Did that plenty of times tonight mate

I’m sorry that you feel that way.

He rarely looks comfortable when he has the ball. He’s played for us for over a year now and has showed little to justify the price tag.

But yet most neutrals think he played well
Are these the same neutrals who said we played Brexit football, only a year ago and would be annihilated every week? It’s hard to gauge if we are valuing the neutrals opinions, or not.
