We'll definitely be having one or two in your honour at the Lion, Grahame. A sad, sad loss and all the best to his family and his girls.

I suppose it's a bloody good job he decided not to have a season ticket this year. I gave him so much grief about it too. 16 years season ticket holder for me, and 30+ for him, and the one year he decides he doesn't want a season ticket he pops his clogs. Haha he would be cursing me if I'd successfully managed to persuade him to buy ones for this season - all that money wasted on a very poor half a season when he could have had a decent pint (or pints in my Dad's case.) For once, I'm glad I didn't get my own way. It's proof The Blades do kill you somehow. So bewarned. haha
Let's hope the Blades win today to give him a good last send off.

I am stopped in my tracks today. Stunned and saddened to hear of the passing of a man I never met.

My deep sympathy goes to his loved ones. It may be some small comfort to know that we shall miss him.

Now it's confirmed I can only add my sympathies. Our paths crossed a couple of times in the Rut and he was always good value in a discussion (he always right, me always wrong funnily enough ) matchdays will seem that little bit duller now.

I am devastated.

I have known him for at least 10 years and maybe 15 years, and during that time i always enjoyed his company, always enjoyed having some banter with him, and he was always good company to spend a couple of hours having a pint with and putting the world to rights.

I met him and got to know him through sitting near Grahame on the kop, always at the back of Gangway F. It started with passing comment about the Blades with him before, ending up brightening up boring games with decent conversation, and then going for a couple of pints after. He was always someone who would bang on about any given subject and actually know what he was on about, he had a dry witty sense of humour, and in my eyes he was a complete gentleman.

I know what good company he was, and what a nice fella he was, and i'm completely devastated by this news.

Being pretty new around here I never had the pleasure of conversing with HH, but as many have said it's always sad to hear about a fellow Blade passing. And no age at all, so sad.

May I send my heartfelt condolences to Lucy and all of you who knew him. Sadly I can't be at the game today due to some health issues so if someone could raise a glass from me I'd be very grateful.
