Someone wise once said, don't judge a player on one bad or good game, a better evaluation can be made after a few games. Obviously that is more difficult at international level as there are fewer games. In this era of instant gratification in can be tempting to get the pitchforks out when you see a misplaced pass or a young player struggles on debut. I personally think international managers deserve more flak than the players. Usually they pick the same set of players time after time and usually set up most of the national sides with dire defensive football.
