I’m 99% sure we announce Brewster next week. Is 99% enough to be classed as sticking your neck on the line?

If the transfer doesn't happen next week then you will have to quit the forum.

Liverpool / Man utd / Chelsea scoop up all the young talent, so other teams cant develope them, and then try to pay for them by loaning them out or selling them on for rediculous prices.
While ever clubs like us let them bully us they will continue with this profitable scam.
Let them stew, and let the agents of the young players stew until reality bites them .

Klopp clearly will not let Brewster replace his highly paid prima donnas, and he needs to do a deal as much as we do, but let Brewster & his agent run the contract down & leave for free

Nixon has been known to get them wrong, but Brewster wanting to go back home on circa 40 - 50k a week (just a guess) has always seemed highly possible.

That being said, I still think the board might pull this one off somehow. Wilder's clear frustrations this week will nudge them into action I reckon.

London.... Sheffield......Better here with the countryside nearby. Current times et al. What will be.😎

Don’t think that changes anything for us. Has always been the case that if Palace bid what Liverpool want then he’ll be on his way there. We’re just hoping they don’t.

My question would be how much can we actually afford, or how much do we actually want, to pay for him. Would seem a bit weird at this point if Liverpool went back to the original plan to loan him out.

stop dicking around and actually get someone in to contribute.
If we get an @rse kicking tomorrow it might speed things up but make us even less attractive. Win and the board might think we can manage, who knows?

Now you have to also think about quality of life based on R rate for who knows how long. London.Peckham, Knightsbridge, Chelsea...Hathersage ....Peak District etc.😎

We asked one hundred 20 year old lads whether they'd rather live on £40k pw in one of the most exciting cities in the world or half of that near the countryside....

Our survey says....
Being a bit harsh there r666. There’s plenty to see and do. Sheffield are steaming ahead with providing numerous empty office accommodations in the city centre just as the whole world working centrally has collapsed. Plus we eventually have an Ikea (just as it’s going out of fashion). And what young lad wouldn’t enjoy the challenge of finding their way across Sheffield city centre and finding a parking spot so you can check out the boarded up shops or place a bet or give a bundle of clothes to one of the charities.

Let's hope the biggest draw for him is a rampant supply of student a accommodation.

Let’s hope IF he’s going to palace they wrap it up quickly so we can stop dicking around and actually get someone in to contribute.
I think you've just about summed it up there. I've been watching this thread for days, no weeks and it strikes me the whole saga is going nowhere.
I personally think Villa and others have set the bar for players like Brewster, and if some club wants to pay 25 mil + then good luck to them.
To me he's worth 15 mil + add on's then has to fit in our wage structures. CW has looked pretty pissed off of late, I don't believe it's with the Board, it lies with this sorry mess.
Let's tell Liverpool thanks but no thanks, no need to piss them off verbally as they just want what appears now to be market value for him.
Let's look forward and move on, there's stormy weather ahead.
As usual, in Wilder we trust

I agree with you there. On the BBC this morning it quotes "up to £25m including add ons".

It also says he has ASKED to speak to Palace. If that's the case then he's hardly been blown away by what we are offering.

The BBC source is the Sun and Alan Nixon, so speculative at best, but for me we have a limited period of this window left, and we seem to be wasting most of it courting this lad. Let's have a look elsewhere. There must be plenty of strikers elsewhere who have realised 3/4 games in that they're not 1st choice, so let's pitch in for them.

Hope we get something in today's game v Dirty Leeds or the meltdown on here will be cataclysmic......😂😂😂😂😂

We’re clearly going to delay the deal as we don’t think he’s worth it. Palace will step in and sign him, we’ll sign someone for half the price but shite. Then Brewster will score two against Chelsea and we’ll all have a meltdown

For me the moment the palace chairman aired his views about Sky linking them etc that meant there was truth in it

Doesn’t mean they have or will bid but I reckon there is interest and if so the kid would be stupid not to listen to what they will offer

I personally don’t want the lad but if Chris does I would be highlighting the fact to Brewster that he has a better chance of game time here than Palace

I suspect if he has actually asked to speak to Palace then that's us done. Not the kind of attitude Chris wants at the club.

If so, move on to Balogun and then whoever is next on the list. We're running out of time here.
