Crowds allowed into grounds in October..

I hate to say this but the trial to allow fans into grounds being postponed, I have a nasty feeling it could well be a death knell for quite a few teams. It looks particularly bad for the National League clubs and we are going to lose some famous teams but, fear not PL teams can still obscenely throw money about.

Chelsea & Villa case in point plus Spurs are struggling to pay "ugly twat" Bale 20m for one season, that would keep National League ticking over very nicely, Boris says "let them eat cake".

Exactly.

Listening to the radio earlier they had a journo on talking about the PL helping the clubs down the leagues.

Good luck with that.

Davalon I've just run that marvellous idea past the fairies at bottom of garden, they agree with you mate.

Boris suggesting 6 months of this and that's without the virus getting any worse! That takes us to March, I can't see any fans being present at all this season.

I said a while ago we'd not see anything like a return to grounds till 2021-22 season and even that might not be full crowds. Take no pleasure in it coming to fruition.

Today's announcement with the plans for small numbers in October shelved I think pretty much confirms that we aren't seeing any crowds of significance for a further 6 months and even by March that might be the small numbers they planned for next month at best.

I think the majority of us won't be back at the Lane for nearly a year. Really sad but as I've said before sports attendance will be the last thing to come back. Many clubs in non league and even some in L1/2 could go bust long before crowds are allowed back.

Could our neighbours survive another year without crowds? Chancer dont like losing money so maybe he would jump ship. So glad we made it to the Prem when we did.

Saw a stat that said we'd have lost 17 million in our last championship season. Them? 47 million with no fans inside. They have got rid of plenty so are probably "only" taking somewhere in the 20 million this year with little hope of going up.

Like it or not Chancer is a multi multi Millionaire, he may be shit at running a club but he does have money to prop them up. and yes we are very fortunate to be in the Prem with the TV money, Wilder has quite literally saved this club.

According to Porktalk Chancer is minted so its unlikely to effect them, infact they think it could benefit them if loads of other clubs go into Administration.
Knowing their luck 23 clubs will go into Admin and they will go up.

don’t forget they have the 10 year season ticket money. Just show how great a business man Mr Chancer is to get all this revenue before a pandemic hit us

I know we're all looking at the "6 months of these measures" from our individual point of view and what it means for getting back to games and living our normal weekends, but it could be a much bigger issue for the club itself. In my opinion it makes relegation much more of a threat. The lack of fans is as big a problem as the lack of striker.

£50m over two years.

We need to stop up this season before we embark on any more major projects.

I’m just so depressed about this whole situation as I’m sure all of us are.

I die for the BDTBL match day experience. Few beers with the lads, a good laugh, walking up the steps of the kop to cheer on those RAWW,s and to share the banter with those around me.

Never again will I take those days for granted. It just feels like my wonderful club and football in general is dying before our very eyes.

Boris has lost the plot we are going to see the demise of more than a few football clubs we are going to lose business' which are household names. How the hell are we going to provide for all the people who will be on the dole? This shit can't carry on for 6 month the country will be bankrupt.
Meanwhile over in Sweden a country who never had a lockdown in March now has the lowest infection rates anywhere in Europe due to herd immunity. Yes it had high death rates to start with but they are over it now and the countries economy has suffered less than any other European country.

Might as well chuck your sen in the hole now , cant do fuck all , cant go anywhere , going out is a fuckin nightmare , everybody shitting themselves when you get with in half a meter away , and got another 6 months to go and it could get even worse , and who knows what going to happen after 6 months , and if my job lasts another 6 months I will be amazed , and I bet fuckin Brewster still hasn't signed in 6 months

We'd never be in a position where the club would need to be saved, if we were in League One with no fans able to come and whatever sponsorship deals we had reneged upon, we'd bring in what we could from player sales and our janitors, groundsmen and ticket sales staff would be turning out for a game

Every chance that if the virus does engulf us as some of the scientific projections indicate then the season could be paused or even cancelled if it’s before halfway through

The temporary solution to keep lower teams afloat - stream each game and fans pay the price of a matchday ticket to watch it as a gesture of goodwill to the club and a way of keeping them afloat until its over. Fans need to step up to the plate now or lose their team forever. Its the only way now.

I can just see it, we will be allowed back in just in time to see em relegated !

I'm afraid the next time we see a game live, we will be in Championship 😢
