I really don’t understand why people do it. Especially the ones that are right 20% of the time, nobody knows anything other than Bettis, the board, Wilder, Liverpool hierarchy and Brewster himself.
Recent Spurs documentary has proven that players know nothing until a deal is all but done, but ‘Dave’ from Gleadless knows we’re signing Brewster before the players.
Much of it is Chinese Whispers.....2nd, 3rd or 4th hand information from someone on the inside.
Although to be fair even if Chris Wilder was posting on here....he would also get a lot of things wrong.
It was only last week that Wilder was certain we’d have a striker sorted in the next 2 days...deal virtually done...but nothing happened.
I remember Warnock a few years ago telling a story where he’s spoke to a player and agent and a deal was agreed and they shook on it.
The following day they were supposed meet to sign the papers and heard on the radio that player had signed for another club.
Warnock said all kinds of games can happen with agents bluffing, counter bluffing and gazzumping.
I think people like Sunji should be encouraged....I always want to know ITK rumours.
but the ITK should give some idea where they are getting their info from (not exactly details obviously) and how accurate they think it’s likely to be.
