Ornstein is reporting that the Thiago fee has been agreed. Could be the domino we needed...

Hit & miss.

He definitely has broken some unusual stories first before (kits, fixture dates changing etc.)

But he's also been wrong quite a lot on transfers.

I wouldn't get too excited based on Sunjihi 's word.
Im as sceptical as you.

However just think - had someone from the club come on here when we had agreed a fee for Robinson from Wigan, they would have said it was 'close' or 'likely to happen'. Things happen all the time to scupper the deal or move the goal posts.

Thought that was a fake Kevin Palmer for a second there! Delighted to know it’s the real one.
He’s also reporting that Thiago deal is £20m plus £5m add ons. Nixon, for what its worth, said Brewster figure isn’t £25m. If Thiago deal mirrors Brewster deal then looking better value

Liverpool will have only need some money to top up their own funds to get Thiago. Brewster deal is probably a lot less than quoted.

Short term strategy is important at the moment give the current climate. Especially for transfer dominos. Might be that clubs are asking for more upfront than previous to fund transfers?

Hate to be that guy and I obviously really hope I'm wrong but I can't see this being announced today, not on a match day even if it is only the haribo cup.

Still think it's happening though, announced tomorrow hopefully! I used to live in Liverpool and all my red scouse mates are talking like he's already left, only one of them actually reckons he's ITK though so could just be bollocks.

Here's hoping!

I reckon so. I think that first payment of a transfer fee is much bigger now than it was before. May also explain why we have not seen a drop in transfer fees either.

Forgive me, not been on this forum for long... this guy reliable?

A few year back he was one of the genuine ITK contenders to the throne...he got most things right in the early days.....then it all started going downhill.....with all his predictions ending up wrong. It didn’t help that Richard Cadette came on the scene...and he became the total ITK master....very detailed and totally original info...with a high success rate. Sunji became yesterday’s man.....and went off the scene.....think he realised he couldn’t compete with Richard Cadette....but now RC has gone into hiding the throne is now vacant. So Sunji is back trying to rebuild his tarnished reputation.....and one day maybe he can become a contender again.

As reliable as most ITK wannabes sat in the bedroom of his mums house winding people up looking for fame.
Richard Cadette was the one and only. Also avoid ArcticRiz , E89, WUM as well as Sunjihi.

Oh and Alan Biggs, Blade58 and me 🤡
I really don’t understand why people do it. Especially the ones that are right 20% of the time, nobody knows anything other than Bettis, the board, Wilder, Liverpool hierarchy and Brewster himself.

Recent Spurs documentary has proven that players know nothing until a deal is all but done, but ‘Dave’ from Gleadless knows we’re signing Brewster before the players.

I've no idea whether this will go ahead. I personally still don't think we have the funds available (last nights board Q&A reinforced this) .

However, if I'm wrong, then I would hope that the structure of the deal would be something like £17.5m initial, with £5m in add ons.

Maybe £2m on survival, £1m on appearances, £1m if he scores X amount of goals, £1m if he gets an England cap.

On the buy back thing, I would hope we protected ourselves a bit with this.

I would hope that the buy back would be set at at least double whatever we eventually paid (so £35-45m) & not exercisable for at least 2 years.

I would also hope that we insert a clause which prohibits Liverpool from a buy back-to-sell scenario (remember Morata) & that the buy back clause would become redundant if we received a bid in excess of £50m, but that they would maintain first refusal in any bid-matching scenario.

Bugger that, get him on the bench at Burnley!

Under Prince, Wilder and Bettis I don't think we've made a poor commercial deal. Whatever the numbers will be, I'm sure we'll be in a great position
