It would not surprise me at all to find that Palace are interested. It is a club that has become very adept at surviving in the Premier League.

They seem to have no great ambition to achieve anything beyond survival but are very alert to danger and act decisively. They were amongst the lowest scorers in the division last season, finished with 8 defeats in 9 games, and have been touted by a number of pundits for relegation. In response, they have moved to add the lad from QPR and a striker from Chelsea. Having priced Zaha out of a move, they’ll now be fine...which is a shame because it would be lovely to see the back of them.

The following day they were supposed meet to sign the papers and heard on the radio that player had signed for another club.
