I would forefit Rambo for 1 quality striker. Last season we relied heavily on our back 5, you can't keep pinching 1-0 results forever, we have to get more goal threat and with the strikers we carried over that isn't going to happen this season.

I don't really get this 'playing our cards close to our chest' argument. Maybe if we were the only interested club in a player that might be relevant, but if there's more than one club interested, us pretending we have less of a budget than we have doesn't work if the other club/s are prepared to offer the asking price. Same with wages. Maybe I'm missing something?

Still confident we can get this done! Remember we received £3m from WBA for Robinson. I know it’s not a huge amount but if we are struggling for cash this summer, every little helps.

I was really expecting us to recoup £15-20m in transfer fees this summer for Luke Freeman, Callum Robinson & John Lundstram. Still feel like that will turn out to be quite a big opportunity loss given our lack of available funds for a striker.

We had a fee agreed with Bournemouth then Fulham guzzumped it, agreeing the fee might have happened but thats the figure for Villa, Palace et al to use as the base figure.
