Yes but we didn’t buy McBurnie for his pace. He is that traditional target man. My only fault with McBurnie is that he does too much work tracking back, which leaves him hopelessly out of position. I like many others thought Robinson was the answer to our lack of pace up front. But after only a handful of games we all realised he wasn’t. Also he was no fox in the box like Billy or he couldn’t really hold the ball up like McGoldrick can. So on face of it was quite easy to free up his shirt for a potential newcomer.

Truly bizarre quote tinged with bitterness because he won't sign a new contract ...

Lundstram is the only one who offered any sort of goal threat... His lung bursting run in behind set up flecks chance that hit the post and if Billy had played a simple square ball better he would have scored..

He's scored our only goal in the last 4 games and he's the player who looks most like scoring in our side at the moment to be fair...

Edwards used to take a decent corner. Although, at the the time I always thought another great crosser of the ball, Morris, should have taken them, with Edwards in the box looking to score even more. There's a good chance he'd have got 50 in 83/84 if he hadn't been on the corners. And would have sailed past that target if he'd been on pens (bar the one he took at Scunthorpe).

Wilder has done an unbelievable job so far but today the criticism goes on him. I question these decisions...

1. Lundstram won't sign a new contract, so why is he in the team ahead of our record signing? He doesn't seem interested.

2. We spent 10m on Mousset, he scored some key goals for us last season and is our only current striker with pace. The past 6months hes been missing more than hes played. Whats happening with him is he a lost cause?

3. Stevens and Baldock played every game last season, so are very fit players. Whilst backup will always be needed why were these signings prioritised over a striker with a bit of pace which is quite obvious what we have needed since January.

4. Why did we let a player with some pace (Robinson) leave without at least signing a replacement first.

5. How are we stronger this season when we have started the same 11 as last? That suggests we are no stronger, just have more depth.

If anyone knows the answers please feel free to answer them.

Some questions which the evidence is already there for anyone to answer,

1- Berge injured needs time to fully recover.
2- Mouse injured the only valid question is he a lost cause but as you stated he has pace and if he is given time he could be worth the perseverance.
as for all of the other questions they are coved by one simple fact they only arrived at the club a week ago and need time on the training pitch to learn the system.

I also remember his corners....they were almost like shots.
I was only a kid in the mid 70‘s and always used to think “one day he’s going to score from a corner”

I didn't mean the post to sound condescending. He was an absolute joy to watch. The best Utd player in my lifetime. I thought he was better than TC because he was more consistent. Came as quite a shock to discover he was a regular smoker!

Made the same point last night. Just to emphasise your point 5, even the subs we brought on were from last season & the 2 Derby players were deemed unworthy of the bench.

Whilst all around us upgrade we go hunting for bargains.
