So arrested on the Thursday and found guilty by Tuesday, the Greeks don't mess about!

Why did Southgate pick him without knowing the result of the case...should have waited...dont know where this leaves Harry

His lawyer only received the charges against Maguire and co two hours before the hearing. He was refused permission from the Judge for the Hearing to be delayed whilst he had time to gather evidence and consider CCTV footage which he believes shows the police physically assaulting the three defendants. This will be appealed.

Because he was arrested on Thursday and found guilty on the Tuesday, if that doesn't raise suspicions over whether Maguire was actually guilty in this case then nothing will!
Or it could have been a very, very simple case to judge and the Greeks are used to cases involving pissed up foreigners?

What will happen to him now then?

Will he be extradited to Greece and forced to play for Panathinaikos or summat?

What do you mean? That it was rushed through so that they couldn't defend it adequately, or that it was so open and shut it was sorted in a few days?

Could be either surely?

His lawyer requested the trial be delayed so they could prepare for the trial, apparently he only received the charge sheet hours before the start of the trial. It hardly gives the impression that he was given a fair trial, but I obviously don't know the full details of the case.

Oh I hope footballs not going to take the knee for Harry, I'm amazed how many think he's been fitted up cos he's an ex Blade, would you be so outraged if he played for pigs?

He'll have to explain himself to the FA/Southgate they'll obviously interview him too but wouldnt be surprised if he gets dropped for the upcoming match but I bet he will be back at the next one.

From what I've read he only acted after his sister got stabbed in the arm (which they seem to conveniently not mention online) and then he thinks the Police didnt take this act seriously or look into who did it so he went off on one. Quite understand his reaction but been a bit silly to "jostle" with the Police over it only one outcome there.

If you take the £65000 bar bill in The Sun seriously they were obviously not in their right frame of mind.

Marlon King skipper surely?

Tony Kenworthy, Ashley Sestanovich, Charlie Hartfield and Chef Evans all done porridge.

Who else?
Jordan Robertson, Marcus Bent, Curtis Woodhouse, Gary Madine, Paddy Kenny, Jose Baxter, Vinnie Jones, Billy Whitehorse...

*For any lawyers reading, I realise some of these did not serve time and I’ll henceforth be calling the side ‘Bad Boy Blades XI’.

I genuinely feel bad for him.
He seems a really nice lad and I know what pissed up lads abroad can be like. I bet he got really antagonised.

I also don't trust the foreign bouncers or police when it comes to brits on a night out either, but that's another story.

Should be removed from the England team.

Whether you think it's a fair trial or not, not a good look is it.

Carl Bradshaw?

Pissed up offences are routinely heard the following day or at least ASAP. Can quite see why it wasn’t delayed just because he’s a celebrity footballer. He came across as a “good lad” and it’s a shame he’s got himself into this bother but I remember seeing him with his brother and a few other mates getting more lairy than he should have in Spoons so not overly surprised. The “do you know who I am” comments and the bribery attempts make him come across as a complete dick unfortunately.

The request to delay the Hearing was nothing to do with him being a celebrity footballer. It was down to the fact his solicitor was only provided with the extent of the charges against him two hours before the Hearing not allowing enough time to prepare evidence. The refusal by the Judge to grant more time is likely to assist Maguire and the others Appeal which they are now pursuing.
