Tweak to the formation is interesting. I’m excited to see what we’re going with.
I think a sensible move would be to play two in holding midfield (Berge and Norwood) and let the midfield in front of them and wingbacks have free reign. A bit like that Carlos/Cafu Brazil team but not 4-4-2.
The quotes in the article are from last month, the other sections could be anytime, last week, as of last night etc. It also doesnt say 2 announced it says 2 on the coach
3-4-1-2?
Liverpool, Man City, Brighton, Leeds, Fulham

Words are hardAlso it doesn’t say two, it says at least two...
kind of. The wingbacks have found it more difficult to get forward in the second half of the season. Playing 2 holding midfielders just gives more of a screen. Would also allow us to play Fleck in front or a more attack minded midfielder. Just a variation on a theme really. I don't think we're dangerous through the middle, especially without Lunny. Our best bet is to release the wingbacks more/earlier, which would also improve our counter attacking. And a more attack-minded midfielder would add extra support to the strikers and an extra body in the box for any crosses. Lunny did that a fair bit but at the same time it exposed Baldock.
more 3-2-2-1-2 Not necessarily an out and out AMC, but to have that option. I would expect the two holding midfielders to sit deeper than the wingbacks, at times. It allows a lot of flex as well in terms of changing things round during a game.
At this point in time, other than Hendo, our team is virtually still the same as it was last season.
With the exception that Lundstram wants to leave, but Moose ( at least from his comments ) seems more committed to the club.
Why do people suddenly think we are going to collapse in our results ???
We will be getting another goalkeeper, I for one think Rambo is nailed on ( no reason other than I trust Tufty ),
Yes other clubs are bolstering their squads ( they did that before the begining of last season )
We will bring players in from out of the blue as Wilder has done in previous seasons.
If you dont like what's happening go & support Wendy, or Manure
Pat Cash instantly replaces Baldock?
Wouldn't be surprised if we see some news about Cash before weekend. Read somewhere that we were preparing a £4m + 2 players offer for CashPat Cash instantly replaces Baldock?
Could also see a Cash competing for the ten role with Fleck. Quick feet, fast, drives forward with the ball.
Wilder will no doubt be looking to assemble a flexible squad with players capable of playing in a number of positions

If those rumours are true we must REALLY want him! Will be interesting to see how it develops

Report: Sheffield United ready to include Luke Freeman in new deal for Matty Cash
Sheffield United are reportedly preparing a new offer for Nottingham Forest's Matty Cash that involves swapping up to two current players.www.sheffieldunited.news
Their is always one.....and your'e both of them....More like we need about 6 new players.
Totally think that there will be flexibility next season.
If we’re gonna start playing with a no10 again then why would we sell Luke freeman
Reckon he might have a big season if we do
100% agree with this. If we are going to play a No10. We need options and Freeman is a good one.
He is but then losing Freeman to Forest may be our only hope of landing Cash and we're probably looking at another centre mid anyway and wouldn't be surpsied that we're ok losing Freeman, Wilder hardly played him last season of course, that would indicate he's not only considered as squad player, and Freeman probably wants to play more especially at 28.
Agreed, I wouldnt be suprised if we do lose Freeman. I just feel he could do that No10 role well, and maybe is one of those that "comes good" in the second season. Who knows, in Wilder we trust.
