Actually I don't consider myself either. I am a fully charged member of the Surrealist Movement but there's no application form to join, just breathe. A paradox.
I had a "Surrealist Movement" this morning!
Phew!

Dear dear. I've met both SV and Olle and they're both super smashing great lads. I'm like the board Jesus, loving all of you equally, apart from those who could do with a good smite.
first funny thing you've said.
here are a few quotes from the original thread to suggest otherwise
I'm sure Olle is - I've met quite a few of the members of this forum myself, and they are all lovely people, even your good self, with the possible exception of Mousey.
The arguments and discussions on here can be peculiar mainly because you can't tell from the posters tone the way they mean their point to come across. Sometimes the smileys may help with this, apart from those fucking horses. It just seems that the same points get laboured over again and again and what humour there was in this forum has been diluted somewhat of late. This may have something to do with the standard of football which has been cacky to say the least. The conversations we have in the pub about football if transcripted would often come across as very barbed indeed.
It also seems that when there are light hearted matters brought up, like moaning about pies and Bovril, they get trampled under the massed feet of the gloomier members pointing out that we're all doomed in seventeen different threads going over the same subject. I for one also get more than a little pissed off with some of the "holier than thou" attitudes which occasionally come across. I'm sure that the majority of this forum would get along if we all met up en-masse, with the possible exceptions of a few who have been banned, including one dickhead that I met at Wembley and would quite happily feed to the sharks feet first.
I myself have written a couple of emails to the club asking about catering, mainly because I was bored and wondered if I'd get a reply. Think along the lines of "The Timewaster Letters" or "Grumpy Old Men" - I take some kind of enjoyment from buggering about with people via emails and seeing if I get a bite. Reporting these isn't because I believe that quality of the pies is more important than the football, it's just a piss-take letter that somebody actually took the time to reply to and I thought someone might find funny. Apologies to those who find it offensive.
No, actually, fuck 'em.
I also take exception to being told variously how to support the club "properly", how to react to players that some don't like, when and what to sing, when to stand, when to sit, when to cheer, what shirts I should buy, which players I should like and which I should boo relentlessly, and particularly get fucked off when I am told that because my opinions don't match exactly with others that I am "deluded" and have "the wool pulled over my eyes" and that I am a "fool". I'm under no illusions that the club isn't achieving what it could, it's just that I don't get my knickers in a twist about it every day and I don't get on my high horse or soapbox to shout my views at all and sundry in the hope that if I shout them often enough then everybody will come round to my way of thinking.
I've no great objection to the post asking for sunshinistas, I just thought that this would be a quick riposte. Alas, Olle took umbrage. Never mind, no blood was spilt.
Shut the fuck up
great post ,totally agreeCount me into your "counter-movement" Shoreham!
I'm a clapper for the simple reason that I can't be arsed to spend all my time whinging - it'd just make me miserable. Why give up your spare time and cash on something that makes you angry or miserable? Can't see the point - simply keep a wider perspective and don't let it get under your skin. It ain't rocket science.
For me the reality is that I can't much affect team selection or performance; I can't affect transfer policy or the financial running of the club - and I don't have enough money to buy my way onto the board to put myself in a position of influence. Neither do I have the skills, experiences or contacts of those at the Lane whose responsibilty it is to do these things.
Yes I get frustrated - but to think I should have a say in running the Lane would be simple arrogance. As a "supporter" my role is to support - the clue's in the name! It's fine to have opposing views - but the reality is that the Lane aren't going to act on the views of amateurs like us when running the club. The club will treat us fans as customers and make positive gestures (meet the manager/chair etc) every once in a while - but that's about as far as it goes.
This forum is simply for us fans to share views - nothing more, nothing less. Too many posts by "knockers" seem to suggest that they know how to run the Club better than those in charge. Either wind your necks in - or put your money where your mouth is and get yourself on the board or employed on the coaching staff etc.
Having said all that - there is a place for "fan-power" when things reach extremes such as with Robson - - but that's another (long) story.
I like the thought of Brownie as a "clapper". Kind of shows how the lines have shifted!!
That's true, especially that bird that lives up the road from me. Her knockers would make a corpse smile, they're bloody fantastic.knockers are only there to make everyone else feel good ,remember that

Sorry to be pushy but is the England Match being shown on terrestrial TV?
Hmmm -- If we are to take sayings literally, Then 'Go like the Clappers' appears to be very positive. Now 'What a lovely pair of Knockers' is also very positive but would seem to indicate there are only two. So i now have a suspicion that Lenners and Micalijo are one and the same as are Olle and Fiery. As for Torrix- What a lovely pair of Knockers.
