I quite like him but I think it would be a wiser career move for him to go elsewhere for more game time than he'd have here, especially if we bring Swift in.

I would imaging we will have wanted to adjust terms with Everton to keep him. It is the reason we didn't keep Retsos as we had a pre agreed fee that we wanted to negotiate.

Considering how little he played whilst he was at the club, I'm a little surprised that CW is keen to sign him (if that is indeed the case).

Yes, he'd be another able body and would add to the squad by offering attributes that seem to be lacking a little in the current midfielders i.e. aggression and an ability to break up play. However, I can't really start a lot of games unless there are injuries and suspensions so would wonder whether he'd be that keen on rejoining

I liked him. Half decent on the ball, great in the tackle and a hard working lad.

But can’t see it. Was him who rejected the chance to stay until the end of the season (apparently) he wasn’t getting as much game time towards the end of his spell and I think we need something different now. We’ve Berge and Norwood who can play the deeper role.

I think we need a bit more creativity in midfield next. There’s been times where the midfield have been absolutely miles away from the forwards and we’ve been pinned back. Need someone who can bridge that gap a little bit and move us up the field.

3-5 million isn’t a lot for us now, but it still feels a lot for a squad player. I’d rather us try and improve the 11 and move one of the lads already here into the squad filler role.

There's definitely room for someone like Mo in our squad. He's the sort of player we need against the "bigger" teams like Liverpool, Man City & Man Utd.
He gets stuck in and harasses opponents in possession and is also good on the ball. The added bonus being that he has proved he can slot into our starting line-up and play in our system (big plus for me). No risk on this one and relatively low price.
The Man Utd game post lockdown was crying out for someone like Besic and he wasn't there.

Does he improve the squad for a reasonable price - imo yes. Could be a good option to close out games.

does he break into the first team regularly - imo no.

you’d have thought if this was gong To get done we would have had him Back to the end of the season....
