Season start date

Premier League Shareholders today agreed to start the 2020/21 Premier League season on 12th September. The final match round of the campaign will take place on 23rd May. The Premier League will continue to consult The FA and EFL regarding the scheduling of all domestic competitions.

Not sure why you would bother having a close season? I think I'd just do some tactical and fitness work, rest those who according to the fitness team are red lining, a couple of friendlies in September and just plough into the next season. It's what's International Footballers do in most competition years, especially if they're then back into the Euro League qualifiers.

That's going. I get it for days like the man utd game when it was 30 degrees but it was daft considering most the good weather was during the league shutdown!

They’ve got to wait a few weeks because theres the FA Cup final next weekend and then the Champions League and Europa League to be played out through August. CL final is on the 23rd.

For us, I imagine it will be a week or so off to recover/recharge batteries after the hectic schedule, then straight back into training and behind closed doors friendlies. No need to go crackers, but seems daft to lose the fitness levels theyve all, just worked so hard to build back up.

Wolves season started in July. If they make the final week of Europa League they have a few weeks off and then back on it until May. And will have more European games too. They are going to be knackered!

Tough for all the teams still in Europe and in Europe next season aswell,it'll even a few results out.I can see us doing well again next season.
